Hello dear friends!
This is the successor to the weekly "build", which is now called the weekly
SYSTEM CROSS SECTION of Model One of New Civilization. For those of you who
have not seen these before, a word of explanation. Each week we examine how
Model One of New Civilization is operating... its problems and its good points.
We are now taking a cross section look at operations each week, as Model One
continues to operate more or less in full configuration, as it has been doing
now since early 1994. If anyone would like to receive a short essay describing

This week we will take a brief look at Model One system operation using a
couple of cross sections:
THE SELF DEFINING ORGANIZATION
While Model One has been designed and operating as eight divisions (FoodCo,
HealthCo, SpaceCo, LearnCo, BankCo, InsureCo, RetireCo and ThinkCo), it is
clear, as in any organization, that there is a great deal of cross divisional
activity, and at times the divisional structure is ignored as people get things
done that need to be done. This is not surprising, since we see this in many
business structures in the old civ. What is different is that Model One is self
defining, and may be leading itself into Model 1.1, and so on. This is due to
the fact, apparently, that members want to have more means of expression. Thus,
PersonCo and ArtCo are emerging, and numerous other teams in the New
Civilization Network (a group of persons with whom Model One is linked by e mail
and in person meetings) are being formed and operated that cross fertilize Model
One. There is considerable e mail activity between the two organizations, and
there also is a lot of organizing going on in terms of setting up Lists and
sublists and Teams. All of this interpersonal traffic is generating many ideas
and helping to expand our person base. Nice work, everyone!
THE EMERGENCE OF THE NEW CIV PERSON
Another cross section to look at today is how the New Civ person is being
defined in PersonCo, which is part of both Model One and the New Civ Network.
This has been a project of Model One since its inception, and also since the
early 1980's when New Civilization Encino began. Now, under the guidance of
team coordinator Bob Gebelein, it has been organized and discussed in depth,
with more to come.
>From the systems cross section viewpoint, now put these two things together, and
you will note that we have new kinds of persons operating in new kinds of self
defining models of non-violent, advanced, much more loving and intelligent
civilizations spread across the globe via Internet as well as with
administrative and land (9 acres near Ojai, California USA) activities.
