This is a fairly random snapshot of news about NCN member activities. A lot
of information goes across my screen, but I am sometimes too involved in
it, or too busy to be able to step back and report on it. So, I am of
course missing a lot of newsworthy items that I probably should be telling
you about. This is mainly what I can think of this second as I'm writing
this.
I am still looking for volunteers who would like to play a journalistic
kind of role, in collecting or eliciting information about what NCN members
are doing, or in interviewing people who seem to be up to something that
others could benefit from knowing about.

HABITAT II
The United Nations Conference on Human Settlements - Habitat II - is this
week in Istanbul, Turkey. See http://www.cedar.univie.ac.at/data/habitat/
for information.
At least two NCN members will be attending. Doctress Neutopia
<neutopia@genesis.nred.ma.us>, http://genesis.tiac.net/neutopia/, will be
giving a talk from what I understand. And Chris Belknap <dsg@aloha.net>,
http://www.ibiic.com/dsg/dsg/htm, will be there.

TO BOSNIA WITH LOVE
Chris Belknap also organized a very inspiring helping project, inviting
people to donate toys to be sent to children in wartorn Bosnia.
As part of the project, children in Honnolulu sent 7000 stuffed animals to
kids in Bosnia. The NATO Implementation Force participated in gathering
kids from both sides of the separation zones and distributing the toys.

MEDISSAGE FAMILY HEALING CENTER
Swami Gyankirti <medisage@visions.net>, http://www.visions.net/swami1.html,
proposed a Medissage Family Healing Center in Washington DC, and it is in
the process of being activated. It is receiving contracts from the DC
government to provide services to youths between the ages of 13-18 in a
residential treatment/healing facility. The planned opening in two
buildings would be July 1.

CD-ROM
The newciv.org CD-ROM should be available shortly, 1000 copies are
currently in manufacturing. It will contain practically all of the contents
of the newciv.org server, preserving it as a permanent record, and allowing
people to browse through it without being dependent on Internet access.
Joachim Steingrubner <jhs@newciv.org>, http://www.newciv.org/, has been
hard at work at it for a while.

TRAVELS
Various NCN members make a point of traveling around and meeting other
members, making connections, sharing visions, developing projects. Sandy
Shaw <shaw@maui.net>, http://www.maui.net/~shaw/celes/celestine.html, is
traveling around the world this whole year and into next year on a
newciv/celestine prophecy tour. He's currently making his way across the
U.S. Swami Gyankirti <medisage@visions.net> from Kenya stayed with me in
L.A. for a week after having been in Hawaii for a while, he's now staying
with Tony Gwilliam in Ojai and will move on to Minnesota and to Washinton
D.C. before going back to Kenya. Zachary Turner <planet@mbox.vol.it> from
Italy will be visiting several locations in the U.S. in July.
