Utne Reader Magazine profiles people and asks them "what are you currently
obsessing about?" Well that would be the concept of what I call
Mega-Greenhouses. These are sustainable greenhouses that are built to a
massive scale to meet the food needs of various places around the world.
With the population explosion occuring, world hunger is bound to decimate
the world food stocks to epidemic lows... I believe the business will see
this coming and will begin funding huge Mega-Greenhouse complexes to
produce cleaner food and more of it. The old practices of fossil fuel &
pesticide farming are going to eventually be replaced by these facilities
that will recycle wastes back into fertilizer, keep out pests by pressure
sealed greenhouses, and cultivate non-mutenagenous seed stocks internally.
This is something I want to be a part of before it even becomes a reality.
So it will be something I will hope to help popularize for the future. The
other thing that I am really heavy on is pollution-free energy forms such
as Solar power and Hydrogen energy. As the fossil fuel industry reaches its
end business will shift massively to these cheap and clean forms of energy
in cars, homes, and all other technologies. I want to be around to see that
day happen. I personnaly predict this shift will happen seemingly overnight
