Member Administrator for NCN. That is, she will activate the on-line
accounts for new members, and she will try to keep the list up-to-date. So,

FOUNDATION
The attempt to develop a structure for a New Civilization Foundation is
still at a somewhat chaotic stage. Active discussion have been going on in
the ncnculture-l mailing list. I can't say that they've arrived at any
particular place of clarity, although much good input has come in.
Adam Lilien has some ideas for how to structure the discussion in a more
constructive way, and we'll probably set up a separate mailing list for
that to happen in.
As to the status of the original prospect of funding, it is still
progressing, although there's nothing significantly new that I can report
here. But it is still as real as before.

WEB-BASED DISCUSSION FORUMS
I just installed the NetForum software, which should make it easier to have
threaded discussions through web pages. Many people get overwhelmed by the
traffic on a busy e-mail list, and it might be difficult to maintain an
overview of. A "forum" or "bulletin board" is another way of doing it.
There you can choose which subjects you want to go into, and which you
won't bother with, and messages stay there so you can go back and see them
later.
You will find the new forums in the Member Lounge. Go to the main NCN page
at http://www.worldtrans.org/newcivnet.html, click on the "Member Lounge"
icon and log in with your ID and password.
I added a few forums. If you would like to see other forums for particular
purposes, let me know. You can yourself add threads to each of the forums,
and you can add messages to any of the threads that are there.

MEMBER LINKS
I'm way backlogged on a few functions, like adding links to members' web
pages from the NCN home page. I hope to have that automated fairly soon, so
that web links will show up automatically based on entries in the member
profiles.
