It seems that astrologically speaking, that the line up of the planets is evoking a re-balancing process that is impacting us at more physical levels now, as we are coming into a new way of being witin our environments and relationships. Between this planetary alignment and the full moon of this past weekend with the Buddhic energy of the Wesak Festival (worldwide meditation and outpouring of Buddhic energy and consciousness) much awakening and enlivening is now accelerating again. Hold on to your hats boys and girls as we twirl into higher spins and throw off more of what is not essential to the self and our lives. This affords us the portal to step through as we move into the new matrix spin of what is in compliment and in support of the newly emerging ESSENCE SELF. Let us now Celebrate the new, and Be it now. And for you fellow watchers, I thought you might like to know the following information. Going to be anywhere away from the city lights, at sea, on a mountain or in the desert, near the end of this month.? Here is something you might like to observe. In late April and early May, when the planets line up, they will not be arranged behind one another or the Sun. Instead, they will present a beautiful line across the sky from horizon to near zenith. For a period of a little more than three weeks, anyone looking west at sunset will be able to see the planets Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn and Jupiter. A few hours later at 4 A.M., armed with a large-size amateur telescope, they can continue their grand tour by observing Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, a few wandering asteroids and maybe even Comet Ikeya-Zhang in the east. Finally, by quickly glancing down at the ground, they will have completed their grand tour of the solar system. "Seeing nine worlds in just one night is something few astronomers can say they've accomplished," waxes Sadler. " I can't wait to do it myself!" Even more amazing, two very special events will occur during this planetary line-up. On May 10, the planets Mars and Venus will appear to pass so close to one another that, to the naked eye, the Roman God of War and the Roman Goddess of Love will become one. Earlier, on May 5, something even more spectacular will happen. The bright planets Mars, Saturn and Venus will group together to form a perfect equilateral triangle in the western sky. This dazzling configuration will be visible almost everywhere on Earth. In the Middle East, this pyramid-shaped specter will hang directly above Bethlehem. Oddly enough, more than 2,000 years ago, this same grouping of planets may have caught the attention of the Biblical Magi. On April 1, 2 B.C., the planets Mars, Saturn and Venus came together to form a perfect equilateral triangle over the city of Bethlehem. Now, in the 21st Century, amid the turmoil taking place in the Middle East, the ancient Roman gods of Love, War and Agriculture/Wisdom, are coming together to look down upon this war-ravaged landscape once again. Alignments Update and Astrological Profile Planetary alignments in May 2002 are more than a little challenging. There's no way around them, only through the gateway they create. The upcoming direct opposition between Saturn and Pluto has already been influencing us for months. Through the second week of May, there's a rare alignment of five planets - Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn - similar to the Grand Planetary Alignment in early May 2000. There's also a Mercury Retrograde period beginning mid-month and a lunar eclipse within 12 hours of the Saturn-Pluto opposition. We will need all our wits about us to navigate this period with grace. Every major challenge, of course, offers an equally powerful opportunity for growth. Those affirming peace, love and forgiveness throughout this period will find their lives richly blessed as we come through on the other side. That is our task at this time - to affirm those qualities and energies we choose as we create our new reality. These intense planetary influences begin to resolve in June. Mercury goes direct on June 8, and we'll feel more aligned again with the flow of Creation. Also, on June 10, a solar eclipse will help us find our new center after months of clearing and release work. We'll be on our way to integrating a new and higher level of consciousness. New Moon in Taurus - May 12 3:46 a.m. PDT (6:46 a.m. EDT) A New Moon in Taurus, falling on Mother's Day? This alignment is about births, rebirths, and new beginnings. Finding right relationship to our feminine aspects - receiving, nurturing, manifesting - are appropriate intentions this New Moon. New Moon is also associated with the Moon Lodge in Native American tradition. In Moon Lodge, women honor their intuitive and healing gifts on behalf of all beings. They retreat to contemplate and offer their feminine powers in service to humanity. The Universe would certainly welcome this gesture from us all at this New Moon, placed as it is amid the challenges of the other May alignments. Mercury Retrograde - May 15-June 8 Mercury stations retrograde - meaning it appears to move backward in the sky from our vantage point here on Earth - on May 15, just in time to complicate the already pesky planetary configurations in May. Mercury influences communications, transportation and the machines and technology that support us in both. During Mercury Retrograde periods, we may find that signals get crossed, mail gets lost, computers go haywire, travel plans get mixed up. It's a good idea to double-check anything that has to do with communication, travel or transportation during this time - ahead of time, if possible. Life seems to slow down during Mercury Retrograde. To flow successfully with the retrograde energy, we need to slow down, relax and allow. Mercury Retrograde is an excellent time to be in retreat, evaluating our plans and goals, reviewing our progress. It's an incubation period, not a time to start new projects or launch a business venture. After Mercury goes direct on June 8, we will feel life moving forward again. Then we can launch our new plans or head off in new directions that may have surfaced during the retreat period. Consciousness Gateway Saturn-Pluto Direct Opposition - May 25 7:26 p.m. PDT (10:26 p.m. EDT) Lunar Eclipse - May 26 4:52 a.m. PDT (7:52 a.m. EDT) A series of three Saturn-Pluto direct oppositions began August 5, 2001. The next was November 2, 2001. Saturn-Pluto alignments have been associated with major military crises and economic downturns throughout recorded history. It's no coincidence that the September 11 crisis occurred during this period. The situation in the Middle East - always troublesome - has also escalated during this time. The final pass is coming up, overnight May 25 to May 26, then there's a lunar eclipse the morning of May 26. With a line-up like this, we'll want to create sacred space at this time and focus on the kinds of energies we want surrounding us. This is a "consciousness gateway," an opportunity to shift mass consciousness from the worn-out systems of domination and control to a fresh new paradigm of love and peace. Don't expect the old energies to give up easily. Saturn is about holding on, rigidity, structure and form. Pluto cries out for change, obliterating forms that no longer serve us in our quest for spiritual evolution. Whatever energies we carry in either extreme will come up with a vengeance. The lunar eclipse promises some surprises, too, about what we've held deep in the unconscious. It is wise to plan now to be in retreat, or in community with others of like heart, during this powerful alignment. The crucial period is evening Saturday, May 25, to Sunday morning, May 26. Our opportunity for change and growth is always unlimited. This alignment is like a magnifying glass, focusing even more energy on our evolution. Which direction do we want to go? We need to be clear and set our intentions in advance so this alignment doesn't catch us off-guard. The possibility for positive change goes quantum this weekend. By consciously drawing in the energies we choose to manifest, we will make a difference in shaping our future world. Resolution After Mercury goes direct on June 8, we get to experience the energies of a solar eclipse on June 10. Following the intense clearing of the Saturn-Pluto/Lunar Eclipse gateway, this will be a welcome opportunity to find our new center. By setting an intention to integrate all the change into a new and higher level of consciousness, we will have proven our mastery in navigating this challenging series of alignments. Dates of the Stargates Equinoxes and Solstices are special gateway alignments that allow us, through focused intention, to align our will with Cosmic or Divine Will. They are the perfect time for ceremony, either individually or in community. The focus is on alignment of our personality selves with the Divine Self within - aligning our will with Higher Will - and clearing what no longer serves us. Like the Stargates of the Solstices and Equinoxes, eclipses are also interdimensional gateways offering us expanded awareness of our soul's multidimensional activities and lessons.
