I close my eyes
just for a second
and in that space as I am opening them
a life flashes by
Not my life
someone elses
a brilliant fine aura encircles this man
as he slowly lifts his head
his face is unseen
just defined in
black line and a fine brilliant white aura

it really is beautiful

the old man sits under the gum tree
he belongs there
his life has moved on
he sits...
his hat is slumped across his brow
he dozes...
the gum leaves stir in the breeze
silence
not a word
is it time to awaken?
possibly
awaken and stand and step in the light
step into power
smile
live once more
live life
like before
