Where's Rosemary Woods when you really need her?
For a couple of years we've heard the mantra.
Bush lied people died.
No WMDs in Iraq.
Yadda yadda yadda.
Never mind the photos of a dead woman clutching her dead child, victims of a gas attack.
Never mind the mass graves that were being uncovered even as the mantra gained
force. To say anything different didn't fit the mould, I guess. So now
they've found the tapes. With the conjuror of the desert winds himself talking
about his ambitions to build nukes, joking about how they've duped the
inspectors, etc. His voice on tape. Nobody has disputed that it is him talking
. After all, if you've heard his voice, it's pretty unmistakable. And so drops
another lynch pin in the arguements we've heard over the last few years.
Of course, this story wasn't in this morning papers. You had to go to
Investor's Daily
to dig it up. because well, this story just doesn't jibe with the rest of the
song and dance we've been put through in the last few years by the left leaning media,
does it?
So what do I expect? Apologies and retractions from the people who have
spread the fertilizer the last few years? No. If the past few years have
taught me anything, it's this. There will be no apologies or retractions.
As they told us not to believe our lying eyes about planes flying into
buildings almost five years ago, I expect soon we'll be told not to believe
our lying ears, when the tapes finally make the public rounds.
He didn't really say that.
He may have said it but he didn't really mean it.
He may have meant it, but it really wasn't about that anyway.
Just remember, it was all about the oil.
