These can be a lot more than irunmole (orun imale). They can be, to coin a word, okunmole (egunmole?) also. Okun (Darkness in Yoruban language, AKA the Deep, Hell, Inferno) + imale. So they can be any sort of dark entity too: aje, targs, eshus, genetic entities, etc. Difference between beings of light and beings of darkness is simple: beings of light pursue the positive poles of olodu goals. Beings of darkness pursue the negative poles of olodu goals. So an irunmole or orisha or child of an orisha would do otura as love. An aje would do otura as hate. A white spirit is an energy production unit. It glows in space. A targ is an energy absorption unit. It is an invisible darkness that sucks in everything and puts out nothing. Depends on how you define irunmole. If you say an "irunmole" can be a being of darkness, then you can stick "irunmole" at either end. Let's toss out names for a moment and come back to them. Let's first take a direct look at reality. You can look at a Being and tell whether it is pursuing positives or negatives or is confused and doing a mixed set of goals. So a Being who is bright and shiny, we would assign to "orun". This word means not only "heaven" it also is the Yoruba word for the sun. And if a Being is observably dark and negative, then one could say that it is of okun (darkness in Yoruba is either okun or okunkun). See, the very definitions of each demand that the beings of each be of its nature. Reality is that there is an invisible higher world, a middle world where we live, and an invisible lower world. The higher and lower have spiritual parts of ourselves in them as well. So you have a higher, middle and lower self too. The middle world is placed between the higher and lower (positive and negative poles).
