(may be a bit too strong for some more conservative potential contributors, but, hell, it's the truth...( In the past, rulers could expand their powers easily by instigating regional breakdowns and thereafter rely on the self-repair functions of society as living system. With the connectedness of today's global community, this method may not work anymore and therefore the entire Human Civilization as such is in danger. We must work to convince the modern rulers that the survival of their own families is at stake if they should not permit the transformations that society as a dynamic system may initiate to heal itself. 21 Oct 2008 @ 08:11 by mortimer : Needn'T tell em the house is on fire! The entire Human Civilization 'as such' is in danger but systemic solution, not the 'Whole' people, not...the field slaves. Why would you want to save current civilization, are you Uncle Tom. Maybe it's the {http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockholm_syndrome|Stockholm syndrome}. Maybe today’s top Consumers are modern Uncle Toms. Malcolm X -- Message To The Grass Roots http://www.americanrhetoric.com/images/malcolmx1964b.JPG Speech below delivered on 10 Nov, 1963 in Detroit, MI To understand this, you have to go back to what [the] young brother here referred to as the house Negro and the field Negro -- back during slavery. There was two kinds of slaves. There was the house Negro and the field Negro. The house Negroes - they lived in the house with master, they dressed pretty good, they ate good 'cause they ate his food -- what he left. They lived in the attic or the basement, but still they lived near the master; and they loved their master more than the master loved himself. They would give their life to save the master's house quicker than the master would. The house Negro, if the master said, "We got a good house here," the house Negro would say, "Yeah, we got a good house here." Whenever the master said "we," he said "we." That's how you can tell a house Negro. If the master's house caught on fire, the house Negro would fight harder to put the blaze out than the master would. If the master got sick, the house Negro would say, "What's the matter, boss, we sick?" We sick! He identified himself with his master more than his master identified with himself. And if you came to the house Negro and said, "Let's run away, let's escape, let's separate," the house Negro would look at you and say, "Man, you crazy. What you mean, separate? Where is there a better house than this? Where can I wear better clothes than this? Where can I eat better food than this?" That was that house Negro. In those days he was called a "house nigger." And that's what we call him today, because we've still got some house niggers running around here. This modern house Negro loves his master. He wants to live near him. He'll pay three times as much as the house is worth just to live near his master, and then brag about "I'm the only Negro out here." "I'm the only one on my job." "I'm the only one in this school." You're nothing but a house Negro. And if someone comes to you right now and says, "Let's separate," you say the same thing that the house Negro said on the plantation. "What you mean, separate? From America? This good white man? Where you going to get a better job than you get here?" I mean, this is what you say. "I ain't left nothing in Africa," that's what you say. Why, you left your mind in Africa. On that same plantation, there was the field Negro. The field Negro -- those were the masses. There were always more Negroes in the field than there was Negroes in the house. The Negro in the field caught hell. He ate leftovers. In the house they ate high up on the hog. The Negro in the field didn't get nothing but what was left of the insides of the hog. They call 'em "chitt'lin'" nowadays. In those days they called them what they were: guts. That's what you were -- a gut-eater. And some of you all still gut-eaters. The field Negro was beaten from morning to night. He lived in a shack, in a hut; He wore old, castoff clothes. He hated his master. I say he hated his master. He was intelligent. That house Negro loved his master. But that field Negro -- remember, they were in the majority, and they hated the master. When the house caught on fire, he didn't try and put it out; that field Negro prayed for a wind, for a breeze. When the master got sick, the field Negro prayed that he'd die. If someone come [sic] to the field Negro and said, "Let's separate, let's run," he didn't say "Where we going?" He'd say, "Any place is better than here." You've got field Negroes in America today. I'm a field Negro. The masses are the field Negroes. When they see this man's house on fire, you don't hear these little Negroes talking about "our government is in trouble." They say, "The government is in trouble." Imagine a Negro: "Our government"! I even heard one say "our astronauts." They won't even let him near the plant -- and "our astronauts"! "Our Navy" -- that's a Negro that's out of his mind. That's a Negro that's out of his mind. Just as the slavemaster of that day used Tom, the house Negro, to keep the field Negroes in check, the same old slavemaster today has Negroes who are nothing but modern Uncle Toms, 20th century Uncle Toms, to keep you and me in check, keep us under control, keep us passive and peaceful and nonviolent. That's Tom making you nonviolent. It's like when you go to the dentist, and the man's going to take your tooth. You're going to fight him when he starts pulling. So he squirts some stuff in your jaw called novocaine, to make you think they're not doing anything to you. So you sit there and 'cause you've got all of that novocaine in your jaw, you suffer peacefully. Blood running all down your jaw, and you don't know what's happening. 'Cause someone has taught you to suffer -- peacefully. 21 Oct 2008 @ 14:13 by mx @189.68.199.2 : 2 observations on the 2 types of slaves 1. the 2 types of slaves are in a polarized condition... we need to further the awareness of polarized behavior... 2. the point is that the fire 'today' affects the entire world population.. there is nowhere to escape to.. neither for the slave nor for the masters... we will have to rethink everything we know... 21 Oct 2008 @ 18:08 by Ed Dawson @76.168.215.49 : SUGGESTION I suggest you all first analyze the current world situation to discover its ethics condition(s). You can't solve anything without knowing the ethics condition(s) involved. Otherwise you will be applying the wrong formula(s). And remember: Enemy is below Treason, not above it. 22 Oct 2008 @ 00:00 by mortimer : QUESTION Apathy (or lack of empathy) is a form of Betrayal --- is Betrayel below Treason? Actually, Mr. Dawson just demonstrated a classic (second rate) systemic flaw. The term “Treason” is a linguistic frame that can be utilized to slur and assail any type of dissidence that could potentially bring forth transformations that society as a dynamic system may initiate to heal itself. In law, treason is the crime that covers acts of disloyalty to one's sovereign or nation. Oran's Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as: "...[a]...citizen's actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation]." In many nations, it is also often considered treason to attempt or conspire to overthrow the government, even if no foreign country is aided or involved by such an endeavor. Outside legal spheres, the word "traitor" or GW may also be used to describe a person who betrays (or is accused of betraying) their own political party, nation, family, friends, ethnic group, religion, social class, or other group to which they may belong. Often, such accusations are controversial and disputed, as the person may not identify with the group of which they are a member, or may otherwise disagree with the group leaders making the charge. See, for example, race traitor. At times, as Mr. Dawson just demonstrated above, the term "treason" has been leveled as a political epithet, regardless of any verifiable treasonable action. In a civil war or insurrection, the winners may deem the losers to be traitors. Likewise the term "traitor" is used in heated political discussion – typically as a slur against political dissidents. In certain cases, as with the German Dolchstoßlegende, the accusation of treason towards a large group of people can be a unifying political message. Murder is now generally considered the worst of crimes, but in the past, treason was thought of as worse. In English law high treason was punishable by being hanged, drawn and quartered (men) or burnt at the stake (women), the only crime which attracted those penalties (until the Treason Act 1814). The penalty was used by later monarchs against people who could reasonably be called traitors, although most modern jurists would call it excessive. Many of them would now just be considered dissidents. Mr. Dawson knows I advocate freedom and he mentions ‘’Treason’’; I perceive his comment as genuine threat. Emotional Art is about healing, it can be utilized for defense but even that is about healing. Mr. Dawson says ‘’Enemy’’… I don’t see any enemies here, what I’m seeing are a bunch people healing. If loving freedom is Treason, then keep your farm and hang me from the popular trees. your friend, mike 22 Oct 2008 @ 06:00 by mortimer : Freedom from Enemies The basic axiom that chains my heart with impeccable compassion "The only reason people hurt people is ‘because of pain, and the only exception to this fundamental truth is that they did not know what they were doing." ~Emotional Art Anybody who fully understands that one sentence will never witness another enemy. 22 Oct 2008 @ 14:56 by Ed Dawson @71.106.210.60 : Jump on a word, will you? Mortimer, the only reason I mentioned two of the ethics conditions by name was to say that the "standard" sequence was off, and to reverse two of them. This is an established sequence of ethics conditions. But since you seem to like to jump on words as a way to attack something that wasn't even there, let me post the entire sequence. Knock yourself out attacking something I didn't invent: Power Change, Power, Affluence, Normal, Danger, Emergency, Non-existence, Liability, Doubt, Treason, Enemy, Confusion. 23 Oct 2008 @ 07:31 by Orizob @213.140.15.162 : Conference On Systemic Flaws and Solutio Just logged in after some time and saw the great idea and although, on the whole, I no longer like to take part in these kinds of discussions, I would like to try and put through something I am perceiving that could be usefull. First thing that comes to mind is this: as far as I can see, only males have answered. Truth be said, I don't perceive that the initial idea is intended "only for men", but as system shows, generally males talk, females do. In all the blogs I have "read", generally females are kept to one side. (no accusation is intended. Just stated what I have seen). Not sure I'm getting my message through. It has nothing to do with feminism, machoism, maschilism and all the "-isms" that separate spirit from soul. It's just that I beleive time has come to really sustain what I call "the dance of the spirit and the soul". Would be nice if it could take place in the heart. Am I off line here? Orizob 23 Oct 2008 @ 15:47 by mx @189.68.217.44 : looking forward to your contribution.. the inequality of male and female voices is one of the fundamental systemic flaws of our society, some may think of the most fundamental of all. Please log in to the Wiki and leave an article on that important issue !!! The Blog here is more for discussing the general setup of the conference, not the topics of the conference. All the best, mx :-) 24 Oct 2008 @ 16:03 by Luc @82.106.52.135 : Proposals Great inspiration , Max! I need to give my idea that came yesterday , thinking at this subject. I don't know if this will meet popular interest but I appreciate if these subject could be discussed here. 1) Patent office for any kind of invention, in each country must be out of political and military control. 2) Allocation of radio-frequencies for tranmission.
