Thanks Vibrani for the good wishes. I have shifted from the house to a high rise condo in another suburb. We are about a block from the beach and a spectacular view of the Arabian Sea. 11 Apr 2005 @ 17:15 by judih : bee How long have you been travelling? Sounds like you're digging where you are. How cool that you've got boo along. What are you feeding him/her? judih 18 Apr 2005 @ 07:05 by b : Hi Judih I have been in India about two months now. I am living in Bombay now called Mumbai. I do like it. Boo the dog has been eating dog food supplemented with vitamins and dog treats that he loves. I have been sampling a vast variety of Indian foods. As an American I have always had meat in my diet except when I went on veg or fruit diets. Hindu peoples are really serious about not eating meat. It took me a while to locate places where I could have a meal with meat. I can't in all conciousness ask my Hindu cook to prepare it. He considers it a great sin though he serves it to me with a smile when I order it in from a resturant. 19 Apr 2005 @ 03:15 by judih : service with a smile? interesting that you say that your cook smiles watching you eat meat even though in hinduism/buddhism(?), eating it is wrong. Do you think he simply feels compassion for you? How about religion? Have you learned anything you could share with us here? always curious, but not yet curious enough to go live there for awhile - i remain filled with questions judih 19 Apr 2005 @ 12:42 by sharpthorn : Bee's Island What's the Dwarf's name? Is the horse really white? :-) 20 Apr 2005 @ 12:27 by b : Judih Judih, I like your pic. I think the Hindu cook smiled in pleasure at my getting satisfaction in eating meat after a long search for it. I don't think compassion is involved. The religion in India that I am following is respresented by its unique workability. I am not ready to share that with anyone here though I might do so in private communication. 20 Apr 2005 @ 13:47 by judih : okay, understood judih@newciv.org is my e-mail if you feel like sharing. If not, I respect your wish for privacy. May your stay continue to be stimulating. judih Hi judih, we also have internal imail here at ncn if you want to use your message center. It is not always good to put your private email into a public blog. I have taken the liberty of altering that for safety against your being spammed. You can change it back if you wish.
