I've heard people say "opposites attract." That's not my experience of life.

On the bus a whole herd of kids got on, obviously on some kind of school trip. They came upstairs and sat in front near where I was sitting. Although I wasn't too bothered, I would have preferred it if they sat at the back. As more of them got on, one of their teachers told them all to move to the back of the bus. She also gave them a lecture about keeping their voices down during the journey. At one point the kids got lively again and in thought I said "Shhh!" One of the teachers instantly told them to be quiet.

At the library I was allocated a computer but I didn't fancy using that computer. When I tried to log on, it wouldn't work. After trying twice and it still wouldn't work, I was allocated a different computer. I noticed when someone else was allocated the computer I had rejected, it worked perfectly for him.

It just shows what I love loves me back; and what I don't want to experience is repelled. In other words, opposites do not attract.

One time, and once only, I had a prolonged relationship (3-4 years) with a girl almost exactly like me. We were astrological twins, and our displays of affection were spectacular. We could sit for hours in a meadow, by the sea, listening to music. However, we also maintained secret lives...and while suspecting that each was somehow sabotaging the whole thing, we never could prevent or negotiate the problem. We could stare into the mirror of each other, see a flaw, but not reach into ourselves or the other to repair. It ended in disaster when she ran leaping away, like a deer into the woods. I was heartbroken for 30 years. Now we communicate tentatively by computer, but probably never will see each other again.

Oh Richard, I know what that feels like. I met someone last year who I believed was my twin and we had a brief relationship. I guess you could say we both had secret lives and we split up and he returned to his other life. I don't see it as closed however as I know that we are still together as our true selves and I also know we will be reunited.

I do hope you see your twin again. I actually see many spiritual twins uniting from now on. I see people are going to be reluctant to settle or follow what society says and choosing true love, just like John Lennon and Yoko Ono. I believe that with all my heart, and so it is.
