I'm posting here some of my poems. I write them in my mother tongue (Spanish), but I'm including too an english translation, so you can understand them.
I wrote the poem 'Tomorrow' in a difficult period of my life, trying to keep my hope and thinking that better times would come ahead.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow

Tomorrow I will walk across the desert
that kept myself away from the sea,
feeling in my barefoot feet
from the sand the warm embrace.
I will raise my eyes to the sky,
forgiveness then will guide my way
and with love will shelter my hope.

Tomorrow,
when the silence that stun my ears
memories will discover inside the soul;
but not those which clouded my senses,
not those... they should just leave!
I want the sincere smiles to come back,
the dawns, the clear nights...

Tomorrow I will run,
the wind won't reach me
and to the beach will hunt me up.
Under golden tears of sadness
I will open my old umbrella,
and then will lean out to the life
with peacefulness in my heart.

------------------------------------

Mañana

Mañana cruzaré el desierto
que del mar me separaba,
sintiendo en mis pies descalzos
de la arena el cálido abrazo.
Alzaré hasta el cielo la mirada,
el perdón entonces guiará mis pasos
y con cariño abrigará mi esperanza.

Mañana,
cuando el silencio que mis oídos aturde
recuerdos descubra en el alma;
mas no aquellos que nublaban mis sentidos,
esos no... ¡que se vayan!
que vuelvan las sonrisas sinceras,
los despertares, las noches claras...

Mañana correré,
no logrará alcanzarme el viento
y me perseguirá hasta la playa.
Bajo lágrimas doradas de tristeza
abriré mi viejo paraguas,
y entonces me asomaré a la vida
con el corazón en calma.

...this is when the unbelievably strong creative muses like music & poetry are able to put back together again our torn apart souls.
I'm gonna send this to a (Spanish-born) friend, if I may?
Glad you have a log up & going & thanks for sharing.

Thank you all for your beautiful words. I wish I could write poems directly in English, so no translation would be needed. Well, I keep trying :-)
