It gets worse---or at least has done for my generation. The blowing off today of spelling and grammar (nothing personal, Scotty) is an indication to me communication has reached a point of take-it-or-leave-it. People now think correctness is too bothersome, when in fact it is a mark of consideration for others. It seems a joy of aging might be to notice an ascendancy of learning and accomplishment in the younger generations...rather than the contemporary view of disintegration of culture and civilization.
