From what I can make out, left to right reading, it says 'LPO' (Lambda, Pi, Omicron). There is a 'shade' of a character all the way to the left which could be, if I stretch my imagination, a phoenician M, or what's left of it...the face, though, put it smack dab in our century. Looks like some spazzed out hippy from the sixties. In the times of the people you mention above there were really good coinsmiths who would'nt be caught dead printing something so obviously not...I'll look at the link though. Well, checked the links out and read a few of the 'tablets' which seem to be an odd mish mash of native 'petroglyphs,' runic letters, plus phoenician letters as well as greek pelasgian letters too...All in all not all that interesting for me although the markings for treasure were there in several of the 'tablets.' Has an odd feel to it...the whole thing just feels very 'odd' to me. Not interesting just 'odd.' Kind of like a wingmakers wanna be mixed with a bit of Ongs hat and that internet movie whose name escapes me now...remember? The....... I was thinking that too, this guy on the coin, looks pretty modern, but there is way more stuff to that find than what the site has put into view. When this find first came out it was called the Burrow's cave/treasure trove. I should have the link around here somewhere, I found it, lol. Theres another party that did a website using ground penetrating radar pics to conferm the drawings by Borrows, I remember the persons that did the radar work were upset at the damage that Borrows had done, also not mentioned on this new site, the main entry , a spiral staircase going down was destroyed by unknown parties to keep people out. But can't seem to find that site. I do think the find is lajit, just people fighting over it. Dont remember much more about the details of this. Might be interesting to look up. Havent seen an issue of this periodical myself in quite some time, but they rather consistently came up with interesting articles. 14 Jul 2004 @ 22:55 by bushman : I read that, awhile back as well, and they had also mentioned that some of that copper mined in the east usa, was used in the construction of atlantis. Just seems odd that the archeologists seem to over look so much stuff that goes back and points to a time when we were maybe farther advanced in certine tech, like ceramics, one of the oldest tech, ceramics, is the tech they use to make super semiconductors. And metalergy, they found copper tools that rival our hardest steel. The fact of the matter is that in 25+ years, Russell Burrows has not supplied one verifiable fact regarding this cave or any of his myriad other claims. He has sent many people phony documents about himself and his claims. All of his rock art pieces deteriorate in water overnight, and burrows keeps giving out many different numbers for how many there really are. He is a pathological liar, and that is the only fact that is true from much personal experience with him. Not via Burrows. Just so it is not left to armchair skeptics . It is a disgrace how this discovery went to chaos. I am hoping that the originator of this thread so many years later will get this and know the truth . After the death of the original owners in 2004, the land went into Illinois probate and still remains in that status. The son of the original owners cut a secret deal with Wayne May in 2007 and is currently being investigated under a filed criminal report. The stolen artifacts are ancient American artifacts placed in the cave approximately 2,000 years ago by travelers from Jerusalem who fled prior to the invasion of Babylon. Hence, the religious and Egyptian depictions found on the stones. Images of Christ, the Jewish Menorrah, and Egyptian influenced drawings are readily seen among the hundreds, if not thousands of stone and metal artifacts(yes, gold as verified by numerous pictures) illegally sold to "investors" in the "cave venture". The "other sheep" that Christ visited after His Resurrection (John 10:16)? 14 Apr 2010 @ 16:35 by bushman : Hmm Cool info, and as well since the time I put up this artical, there has been another find, basicly the same kind of stuff they found at Burrows, except in this case they sailed up a now dryed up river vally off the Colorado river, that connected to a large inland lake that is today drained off. The original find here was the bow spirit of an ancciant Phonician ship, backed into a cave. We won't let a mess happen like with Burrows. Although if you hunt around on this newslog, there are pics of the area and the bow spirit as well as pics of the mega/mono lithic carvings at the entrance of the archive/shrine, that was at one time heavely gaurded by the natives. So far the find has not been fully documented, and as well is very hard to get to, then once your into the main tunnel, there is a bunch of bobby traps and bad air. Being it will take loads of safty equipment and know how just to enter the site, documenting it will take years and piles of money, and of course good people who can be trusted. I ran across this pic in a old Mormon Bible, and as you may know the verse in the KJ Bible where Jesus/God says he will come as the destoyer or "I am the destroyer a thief in the night". I can assume that these people came to save thier history by spreading it throughout the world, just like we have underground vaults and even a seed achives deep under the polar ice. Is this pic really of the last time Christ came?
