How the Bush Family Makes a Killing from George's Presidency

Halliburton scored almost $1.2 billion in revenue from contracts related to Iraq in the third quarter of 2006, leading one analyst to comment: "Iraq was better than expected... Overall, there is nothing really to question or be skeptical about. I think the results are very good."
Very good indeed. An estimated 655,000 dead Iraqis, over 3,000 dead coalition troops, billions stolen from Iraq's coffers, a country battered by civil war - but Halliburton turned a profit, so the results are very good.
Very good certainly for Vice President Dick Cheney, who resigned from Halliburton in 2000 with a $33.7 million retirement package (not bad for roughly four years of work). In a stunning conflict of interest, Cheney still holds 50,000 stock options in the company. Why pursue diplomacy when you can rake in a personal fortune from war? More >

WARMTH & JOY
What has happened to the "warmth and joy"
or was it never really there?
Looking at my own life, there is a definate
lack of such. There were admonitions to
"seek the light" but we seem to have neglected
or forgot about the warmth and joy.
But hey warmth and joy is crutial, the whole
ball of wax in some respects, so what, where is
it? I've looked inside and found few references and examples.
Jesus didn't mention it, and Castenada didn't mention it
so? Is there a personification of warmth and joy?
no not santa claus or ???

well the old spidey senses are and were a tinglin
and i couldn't quite figure what was up and then the
brain box clicked in and I recalled the psychosis that is about
about to effect most of the planet.
Yes it that time again, a month change and a daylight savings
"fall back" change and yes there is some historical evidence that suggests that
it does effect us and produce a temporary psychosis as people adjust.
I suppose the autumn change is not as pronouced as spring but just
and advisory warning that things may be somewhat strained and strange
for the coming week and disapate by about thursday.
happy time change
do you know what time it is...?????????

It is Time to Make a Real Change
by Mick Youther /// [ [link] ]

"This will probably be my last column before Election Day. I had intended to make one last appeal to voters to end the Republican stranglehold on governmental power; but it seems that Americans have already gotten the message and are ready for a change.
Recent polls indicate that if (a free and fair) election was held today (10/26); Democrats would not only take control of the House of Representatives, but possibly even the Senate. Unfortunately, the election is not today; so all we can do is wait, and wonder, and worry. More >

It appears that hell has finally frozen over. The extent of the US government's illegal conduct--its lying, scheming, cheating, torture, murder, sexual escapades, and covering up of criminal activities--is finally surfacing and it is breaking through the once calm, sleepy, uninformed U.S. like the tip of an iceberg from hell. Americans all over the country are now wondering when and how the government of the United States became the very thing that the Founding Fathers loathed and despised: a malignant government that is brutal, feared, drunk with power, secretive, completely unaccountable, negligent and dishonest to the hilt.
