Word from on high that another soldier a female captain
has died in a "new initiative" in Afganistan
Well it was one thing for our men and women to die
for "peace keeping" but this new dying for
"wishy washyness" or whatever it is, is kinda hard to swallow.
Not sure I can support this "new initative" thus
Tis not hmmmmm honorable.

American Architecture
It seems we are born into a process these days,
rather than a state. In that sense architecture becomes somewhat moot. Yet how did this "process" of affairs arise.
People came to America with little but dreams and perhaps memories of unfufilled passions. And what was built, not a state but a process. The embodiment of American Architecture is the process of "mass production" and I suppose "standarization". Standards are good though somewhat boring and not terribly creative or Natural? I suppose nature has its standards and or orders to and if violated change ensues.
So then it seems the fundemental and shaper of Traditional American Architecture was the practicality of Standardization and Mass production.
How much thought went into that and what was the underlying principle of mass production? Was it simple Profit and economy or is there more to it?
Here is a link to global architectural development to date.

Just debating though whether it is time to have a closer look
at the foundation and see perhaps whats next.
Is the model of mass production not enough or detrimental towards the earth perhaps?

Dear Editor
Kudos to our local high school students and their latest art exhibit at the main gallery at the Red Deer Museum. A strong well founded and balanced base awaits one who appreciates artistic sensibilities. From Group of Seven to Jimmy Hendrix, to internet fantisies, a wide and highly sophisticated sample of talent is emerging. Though somewhat timid in originality the lack of the use of overworn cliches is refreshingly and noticibly absent. This bodes well for us, as it demostrates the desire to express, define, and inform and not simply sell.
A love of "true" art is thus demonstrated and not simply a "means" to an end. The joy, use and celebration of art as a valued activity and exercise of the creative process demostrates a rare maturity that I hope continues. The exhibit thus can only be described as a palette and global symphony of and to the senses. Thankyou for this artistic morsal all who contributed.

Monday
Well a true though somewhat spontaneous breakthru has somehow occured
I never doubted the brilliance of Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons"
the first "programmed" music piece. Never until this weekend. And then it happened. Then the sheer aggrogance and pretenciousness and pomposness of it was revealed to me through the inception or reworking of a truer version of its global new/old kind of conception or work.
This was when I by chance had the opportunity to witness the notion of it in truer form. A form I'm not sure by who contrived but executed most succinctly by mostly 5 woman music artists from around the world. Emminent Artists of distinction and grace.
Witness: The Four Seasons Mosaic
Mosaic Link = [link]
The sheer magnitude of this endeavour "Steals Vivaldi's Baby" and also exposes Vivaldis pure and blasphemous Western Arrogance from which it was born.
Somehow by process and autuor unknown though it is transformed into a pure though highly complex true "GLOBAL" Master Piece. How vain I or Vivaldi was I think to concieve this "program" without the consultation and benefit of the global peoples and musics less prominent or popular but equally or more proficient and valued.
It, then this new The Four Seasons Mosaic is a moumental achievement of the human spirit made well and whole again.
At long last the Global Symphony has returned to our ears and hearts.
