Hmm as i recall Jesus said "turn the other cheek"... source BIBLE 1611 AD/CE.
It isn't that guns kill people or that people kill people but that bullets kill people so maybe the compromise needed in the gun control issue is to shift the premise of guns from them wrongly being lethal weapons of death to weapons or defenses of disabling and stunning, ie rubber bullets, tasers, tranquillizers, blanks etc. and then have an amnesty where people can turn their lethal weapons and ammo in for stun weapons or ammo.
If implemented by law and force would probably reduce the number of deaths by guns by 50% or more
Hunters during hunting season would be exempt but need special permits for live ammo....
if you're really good after all... you don't need or want a gun.....as truth is the absolute defense.

Well if one human = H and a large number of human population = P and over activity and tech process, warming coefficient = C, is with 99% certainty causing 68% the effect of global warming @ 2* C over 100 years = T, due to upsetting and causing the global thermostat or hypothalamus to malfunction, then a logical solution would be to cap human population and activity and reduce green house gases to result in a slowing and stabilizing of the warming and temp.
H + C x P = T
1 + ? x 7 billion = 2*C/100years x 68% x 99%

Dignify not evil and hate with undue attention and though the loss is great.... let us not dwell to much on the pain and sorrow as well..for then ignorance's evil agenda will be more sustained and won.....
grant stead a minute of silence to all at noon today 12:00 PM MST and then think we instead of the joys and triumphs of life and the short though triumphant happy lives lived though to soon lost, that glimpsed for a moment this wondrous and unfathomable place and time....and remember their smiles and touch and innocence and be stronger for it....
for such would probably be their wish for us.....
