Regarding Mothers

The following are different answers given by school-age children to these questions:

Why did God make mothers?

1. She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.

2. Think about it, it was the best way to get more people.

3. Mostly to clean the house.

4. To help us out of there when we were getting born.

How did God make mothers?

1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.

2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.

3. He made my Mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.

Why did God give you your mother and not some other Mom?

1. We're related.

2. God knew she likes me a lot more than other people's moms like me.

What ingredients are mothers made of?

1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world, and one dab of mean.

2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use string. I think.

What kind of little girl was your Mom?

1. My Mom has always been my Mom and none of that other stuff.

2. I don't know because I wasn't there, but my guess would be pretty bossy.

3. They say she used to be nice.

How did your Mom meet your dad?

1. Mom was working in a store and dad was shoplifting.

What did Mom need to know about dad before she married him?

1. His last name.

2. She had to know his background. Like is he a crook? Does he get drunk on beer? Does he make at least $800 a year? Did he say NO to drugs and YES to chores?

Why did your Mom marry your dad?

1. My dad makes the best spaghetti in the world. And my Mom eats a lot.

2. She got too old to do anything else with him.

3. My grandma says that Mom didn't have her thinking cap on.

What makes a real woman?

1. It means you have to be really bossy without looking bossy.

Who's the boss at your house?

1. Mom doesn't want to be boss, but she has to because dads such a goofball.

2. Mom. You can tell by room inspection. She sees the stuff under the bed.

3. I guess Mom is, but only because she has a lot more to do than dad.

What's the difference between moms and dads?

1. Moms work at work and work at home, and dads just got to work at work.

2. Moms know how to talk to teachers without scaring them.

3. Dads are taller and stronger, but moms have all the real power cause that's who you gotta ask if you want to sleep over at your friend's.

What does your Mom do in her spare time?

1. Mothers don't do spare time.

2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.

What's the difference between moms and grandmas?

1. About 30 years.

2. You can always count on grandmothers for candy. Sometimes moms don't even have bread on them!

Describe the world's greatest Mom?

1. She would make broccoli taste like ice cream!

2. The greatest Mom in the world wouldn't make me kiss my fat aunts!

3. She'd always be smiling and keep her opinions to herself.

Is anything about your Mom perfect?

1. Her teeth are perfect, but she bought them from the dentist.

2. Her casserole recipes. But we hate them.

3. Just her children

What would it take to make your Mom perfect?

1. On the inside she's already perfect. Outside, I think some kind of
plastic surgery.

2. Diet. You know, her hair. I'd dye-it, maybe blue.

If you could change one thing about your Mom, what would it be?

1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean. I'd get rid of that.

2. I'd make my Mom smarter. Then she would know it was my sister
who did it and not me.

The Askings of Love

Love asks me to love, Love asks me to live,
Love asks me to share, Love asks me to give.

Chorus: Love asks me to light,
A candle in the night,
So these things I do,
By the askings of love.

Love asks me to sing, Love asks me to heal,
Love asks me to know, The Love thats so real.

Chorus: Love asks me to light,
A candle in the night,
So these things I do,
By the askings of love.

Bridge: The askings of Love, were paid for in blood.
So I still recall, The askings of love.

Love asks me, "Forgive", Love asks me to pray,
Love asks me to grow, In lovin every day,

Chorus: Love asks me to light,
A candle in the night,
So these things I do,
By the askings of love.
So these things I do,
By the askings of love.

Ah yes what a tangled web we weave
but the earth is in no danger and can take care
of itself.....
What I think concerns me more is humanity
hmmmmm what about humanity....
Well I think we as human creatures or spiritual
animals are in danger of exterminating ourselves
although I'm not sure why that is so....?
Why is it we live the way we do.....
Have we no reason or sense or responsibility
or care for ourselves or even love for ourselves
Have we just accepted that we are the way we
are and damn the torpedos....
Is the basis of this death wish then are own hatred
of ourselves and yes I suppose when we see the kinds
of things we do to one and other in the name of ????
whatever... It could have a tendancy to cause this
deepset and perhaps unconscious hatred or a death wish.
Humanity ha ha seems a crime against itself somehow.
We seem to lack the ability or insight to come to terms
with reality and truth and such and invent ways of distraction
and destruction....
I guess that is just our "human" nature
Can it change though
Can we change to what.....???
I suppose we'd first have to want to change
I suppose we'd need a vision of some sort
I suppose well enough for now
Sorry to preach

have a good day

MOOSE IN THE KITCHEN
(or the ethical imperative)

Hmmm well a most unsettling proposition.
We seem to be caught in a most unnerving situation.
Between G O D perhaps and Nature.
Let me explain.
We apparently have an near miss asteroid hurtling our
way, 1000 feet across. Set for a near miss. Is this a "judgment"
from G O D? Perhaps, but perhaps you do not believe in G O D,
well good point but I don't think this asteroid cares one way or the
other about our religious politics at least not at this point. So this
thing what have you from the "heavens" lets just say, is not good?
Well not for us living in this glass house. So what do we do.
Pray? Well apparently it will arrive in 24 or 27 years.... So in the mean
time.
Well in the mean time Earth or Nature seem to be kicking up its heels
Gaia.... Well maybe you don't believe in the Gaia principle and climate
change and what have you but it does seem odd that there are many
strange natural events occurring. Check. Well maybe theres just more
"reporting" of them? Well maybe.... But it does seem that Mother nature
has been a busy beaver of late.
Hmmm caught in the middle we are it would seem. So is this some sort
of "judgment" upon us is my question? And why would that be? Have
we screwed up somehow somewhere?
Well perhaps we should have a look at ourselves then? Are we not living
right and what would living right be anyway?
Living right? Well we're doing the best we can under the circumstances are
we not? Trying to get along life being what it is. Watching our TVs driving our
SUVs, drinking our booze smoking our smokes, injecting heroin into our
eyeballs, fighting with the Jones, polluting the water air, land and sea,
Same old same old.....It don't get much better than that aye,
Hmmmm but is that liven right? Who can say. One mans right is another mans
wrong....Whom am I to judge Tom, #####, Harry or Sally? Right I am nobody.
but I'm not the one doing the "judging" here cept to say perhaps are we
being judged by "forces" Nature/God internal and external and if so what is
our crime or offense. Well maybe we don't know. Maybe we are doing what
comes naturally and yet it is some sort of crime unknowst to us. What is making
money a crime? No not making money but hmmmmmm
What in our behavior would constitute a crime or offense. ..... that we are innocently
doing au nature-al ? Liven and dying and fighting and crying whats wrong with that?
We doing the best we know how to do aren't we? We're functioning within the parameters of the Law..... ahh yes but perhaps this is not a legal question but a moral or ethical one..... Ahhhh yes ethics well there ya go..... we are a legally fit globality true but ethically where do we stand.... oh but please spare us the moral and ethical dilemmas they give such a headache..... ahh but we have to decide....
why because apparently we "are" being judged and forced to show our
"ethical" hands in this cosmic game of poker so that is the question.
We are going to have to engage in some ethical wrangling and discourse perhaps
Ah a messy business to be sure. Maybe it is just a question of global soul searching and stuff. Maybe we just have to get our ethical house in order. Maybe we just have to be "educated" in the ethical arts......
Anyone know anything about "ethics" ?
Okay so at least its some sort of progress.... Have we discovered then thats what
this "global discourse" would seem to be about? "Ethics". Do you even know what ethics are and that there is perhaps a distinction between ethics and morals.
Do I even "know" what ethics are? hmmmm
Well let get on the same page then, shall we?
Okay here we go the process begins....
Ethics Link = [link]

Hmmm this is going to be much harder that I and we perhaps think
it would seem... Hence I suppose like a Moose in the Kitchen

An introduction to the science and art of perception management.

The phrase "perception management" is filtering into common use as a synonym for "persuasion." Public relations firms now offer "perception management" as one of their services. Similarly, public officials who are being accused of shading the truth are now frequently charged with engaging in "perception management" when disseminating information to media or to the general public.

Although perception management operations are typically carried out within the international arena between governments, and between governments and citizens, use of perception management techniques have become part of mainstream information management systems in many ways that do not concern military campaigns or government relations with citizenry. Businesses may even contract with other businesses to conduct perception management for them, or they may conduct it in-house with their public relations staff.

  • Perception management is a term originated by the U. S. military. The U. S. Department of Defense (DOD) gives this definition:

Actions to convey and/or deny selected information and indicators to foreign audiences to influence their emotions, motives, and objective reasoning as well as to intelligence systems and leaders at all levels to influence official estimates, ultimately resulting in foreign behaviors and official actions favorable to the originator's objectives. In various ways, perception management combines truth projection, operations security, cover and deception, and psychological operations.
