RE: EARTHLY CONTRIBUTION OR THE GAIA TEST
Well what realistically can humans contribute of benefit, not to society, but to the Earth and planet?
One or we, humanity, should thus screen, subject and run all or the majority of human endeavors and aspirations and industries through the caveat and qualifications of how much will such and such contribute and be a benefit to the overall well being and health and sustainability of the earth and its systems as a whole on a global, large or small scale and in the long, short and or medium term and then maybe secondarily or thirdly assess how it will benefit us humanity.
Do this less we succumb to our own myopic and narcissistic and greedy obsession with our own human selves and thus and then allow only those things which pass a minimum threshold of scrutiny of say at least 60% benefit to the earth or so for such to go forward.
Eventually such a constructive symbiosis approach could not but help but improve humanities over all lot here on earth. Granted it would be difficult to assess sometimes given the variables and complexities involved, difficult but somewhat necessary or mandatory though. Such things could or should possibly thus be tested before hand as well in a semi contained small scale replicate biosphere of the Earth, to get a more practical hands on assessment and measure of what ever we desire to progress. The process could be called the Gaia test.

RE SYRIAN MOTHER OF ALL BATTLES JULY 2012
Well i have a mitigate that probably has been tried before ? but not worked but well .... perhaps rather than fight and shoot the Syrian army... the free Syrian opposition holster there weapons en masse and with gestures of welcoming.... approach the army to join and enjoin them.....the idea being that showing them that they are offering a better more harmonious and constructive way.... some may die in the attempt...true... but i think past basic reflex action there is a basic human and humane mind and heart instinct that will and cannot shoot nonthreatening and non-aggressive beings..... other than that if they try the conventional way...i fear they'll simply be slaughtered.... and this way they might too but they will have died offering a better higher way..... thus in death or non aggressive sacrifice.... they'll have won.....thus they have to show they offer something new better and different..... now what gesture they should use is not surrender but and ?????out outstretched hand of friendship or cooperation.

re: guns 2012
well I suppose folks have to decide whether they want to be governed by rule of law and reason or law of gun!
To me rule of law is the more free and reasonable choice, I mean how much freedom is there in having to look over your shoulder, every ten seconds for flying bullets?
not much.

re: $35 trillion hidden in secret accounts of the wealthy... july 2012
well that would explain where some of the $40 trillion dollar environmental deficit has gone..... I suggest that 1/2 of it be appropriated and put in a trust administered on natures behalf with nature given the same rights as a child and that what and how it is administered be done on the basis of what is in the best interests of nature.
but according to M amounts something doesn't add up although the global gdp seems to be about $69 trillion a year.... still...... seems not a very good job being done of the global book keeping..

Re: Corn Shortage 2012 3:52 am mdt
Alas how history repeats
Empress Empress the people have 17% less corn and nachos
nonsense let them eat their air conditioned i pads
Wall Street 2012
Well pouring salt on wounds isn't much help but neither is supply and demand and simply raising corn prices towards its distribution as thus only those of means can access it.
To be fair and just to all prices should rise somewhat but it should be rationed as well.
