OUR UNITED DIVERSITY
My Fellow Canadians
With regard to these times we live in,
the idea of disability and difference stems from the concept that there is some all pervasive "norm" of being. Stray to far from the said norm and disability, stigma and labeling rear their ugly head. Yet in any diverse society, norm can be unmasked for what it is but a kind of convenient fallacy. Norm thus truly is more a thing of fashion than an absolute or certain state. So one could thus hope that any truly civilized community or society would or should function within a greater degree of tolerance, accommodation and acceptance of the variations around a supposed norm.
Unfortunately though, time has not stood still and societies and generations change. Some tolerances and visions of old change to or fail to get properly passed on or rooted in the new and succeeding regimes and social guards and some of times old lessons, wisdom's and ways are or can be lost, forgotten or misplaced in the ensuing transition and translation. Perversions, biases, bigotries and cronyism's, forged by the trials and misfortunes of troubled or indifferent life's, thus can creep in and taint the waters of tolerant and diverse societies and communities, with the fears, prejudices and hatred of old and or new.
True enough though, there are certain and perhaps many unlawful and offensive things, beyond the general acceptance, sense and tolerance of even the most liberal of communities but then as well we should and can not be so rigid in our guards, fears and misgivings that we paint trivial deviations from a said illusory norm with the same kind of impassioned and self righteous vigilante brush. To do so would be to lose or tarnish the gains we have made towards being a more humane, just and responsible species, society and country.
Thus in that regard then, in changing times of mistrust, distress, disasters, disease, poverty, spin, disinformation, divisions, terrorism and change itself, let us not lose sight of who we were and who we are and who we still can be and thus let us strive to remain true to the hard won principles and virtues of harmony, justice, tolerance and care for most if not all. Less not doing we descend into the ensuing rigid, despotic kind of police state that could follow such. Let us show as well, proper regard, concern, compassion and value to and for our environment, ecozones and precious sources of ecological health, upon which we all ultimately depend and are dependent upon.
Walking thus, this middle road of being is perhaps a fine and difficult line at times but we must discern it and walk it and show it the due diligence and mutual regard that it deserves for the continued benefit, respect, justice and future of and for all or most. This is the "third way" after all, our true and unique Canadian way. A way which we have inherited and is thus deserving and right to call and make our own and to give and teach to our children and grandchildren hence.
So let us do so now, with the conviction and love of and as those who imparted, bequeathed and won such to us and by such sustain the Canada many have come to know, cherish and love. And in this, our "united diversity", we will and shall find and know enduring strength, joy and continuance.
In short let us chill people, Let us chill out.

Well I sense in a way that guidance has led us to a dead end of sorts not to blame per sae but just as an observation of the logical conclusion or result of a somewhat flawed or ill thought premise, promise and such.
We could I suppose waste time blaming but that would not do much about the dead end we face and I don't suspect the situation was deliberate or intentional but more the product of a similar fate of our predesessors so how will we guide the future now that that mandate is or was placed on us.
I suppose we should backtrack instead and perhaps question where it was we were wanting to go or be or where it was we were programed to go or be and correct the programing or see the flaws in it. Maybe the idea of wanting to go or be something other than what we are is itself part of the flaw and perhaps we aspired or were programed to "expect" everything and too much perhaps. We were sort of the first generation to be brought up by mass media and the virtues and vices of Hollywood.
Yet the Hollywood mentality was or is quite illusitory and rather "scripted" and reality doesn't tend to follow a writers script per sae ie only in the movies so....
What is missing in a writer script perhaps is the connection perhaps to the reality of the "quiet desperation" of the masses as some saw it or the perhaps simple desires of the masses. Many of us though did buy into the Big Dreams and Big Fortunes of the guilded palaces of make believe yet was it a buy in out of choice or a buy in out of a lack of something better or realer to do. I mean those castles in the sky sure do look purdy but would they really have made us as happy as a real ice cream cone when we were a kid or a kiss or hug from a true friend in a time of need.
Pure speculation I suppose but reality distortion fields abound it seems.
But all is not lost I suppose and at least now we know how to get to a dead end.

SHE LOVES ME
Well she love me in the morning,
and she loves me in the day,
yea she loves me in the evening,
whoa now in that special way.
Loves me better than my mama,
Loves me better than my pa,
Loves me like no others loved me,
Such a Love I never saw.
Chorus:
Whoa now woman, I think I'm gonna stay,
Whoa now woman, Until my dyin day.
Well she loves me like the sunshine,
Yea she loves me like the rain,
Oh she loves away the heartaches,
and she loves away the pain.
And she loves me sweet as honey,
Oh she loves me sweet as dew,
Yea she loves me with her kisses,
And you know I love her too.
Chorus

Sweet Wonderful
Well hello there Sister Moon, Its been a while since we did feel,
Well now livin in this box, you start to wonder what is real.
Chorus
Once was Sun, once was Rain,
Once was Joy, once was pain,
Will it ever..... come again.......
Sweet Wonderful.
I have traveled a long road, Now my saddlebags are bare,
Is there a garden in these Woods, With some morsels just to share.
Bridge:
I cry out,.... to the sky,
Has our lives been just a lie,
I cry out..... from my heart....
For a morsel of LOVE.
Oh this song is getting old, and in circles it does spin,
Sometimes the winner has to lose, in order that he finally win.
Chorus
Sweet Wonderful Fade

An introduction to the science and art of perception management.
The phrase "perception management" is filtering into common use as a synonym for "persuasion." Public relations firms now offer "perception management" as one of their services. Similarly, public officials who are being accused of shading the truth are now frequently charged with engaging in "perception management" when disseminating information to media or to the general public.
Although perception management operations are typically carried out within the international arena between governments, and between governments and citizens, use of perception management techniques have become part of mainstream information management systems in many ways that do not concern military campaigns or government relations with citizenry. Businesses may even contract with other businesses to conduct perception management for them, or they may conduct it in-house with their public relations staff.

Perception management is a term originated by the U. S. military. The U. S. Department of Defense (DOD) gives this definition:
Actions to convey and/or deny selected information and indicators to foreign audiences to influence their emotions, motives, and objective reasoning as well as to intelligence systems and leaders at all levels to influence official estimates, ultimately resulting in foreign behaviors and official actions favorable to the originator's objectives. In various ways, perception management combines truth projection, operations security, cover and deception, and psychological operations.
