DEFINING CANADA
If we were to define Canada, what and how would we see ourselves?
In the old sense we were and perhaps are still a "Confederation" of Provinces and Territories united by a overriding National Federation and Government. Is this still true though?
Perhaps in the new "environmental sense" and reality, to be "environmentally correct", we have to redefine and redevelop ourselves. Would it then not be more true to see ourselves as perhaps a "Confederation of Ecozones", united perhaps still by a National Federation and Government but then this itself in a Global Environment, Community and Reality.
Perhaps then as local stewards of our local ecozone then we are presenting a truer picture of ourselves and our local environment and its needs and benefits, in the context of the Environment of the Earth as a whole.
Thus then the United Nations itself would or could be seen better as the United Ecozones.
We after all have an obligation and dependency not only to the peoples of the world but to our local and global ecozones and yes fresh water, which are essential to our very existence, who without which humans would simply be a moot and passing point.
Something to ponder perhaps which might serve to help us garner our current reality.

Regarding the Climate Situation,
I suppose ultimately their are some that would argue that climate instability is not a judicial or even a political issue but a survival one. One thus could and would hope that scientists, polititions and judges would be concerned about such, and not just in the sense of survival to the lifestyles we are accustomed to and political, judicial and corporate fortunes but survival as humans as a species as a whole.
Compounding such is the idea that if we wait for certainty on such a somewhat insidious and intangible matter, it might just be to late as some are already starting to suggest it is.
In the final analysis though it doesn't really matter if we humans are a direct or indirect cause or contributor of and to climate instability or not. We do have to live with such regardless as its apparent evidence, reality and effect becomes somewhat more and more evident and obvious over the course of our life and lives and thus and then anything, we collectively do or can do to counter or stabilize such in a coherent and cooperative global manner and effort, is and would be a testament and credit to us and our validity as a worthy species.
So yes, climate instability is highly probable and even directly evident and suggestions to lesson humanities global CO2 ppm and lesson our ecological and carbon footprints and perhaps even a Carbon Tax might and could assist in offsetting the effects of such.
So implementation of such should be moved, voted upon and ratified somewhat immediately.
Unfortunately though carbon capture is still questionable and untested over time but at such a late hour might become a unavoidable and wasteful necessity but solving one problem by creating another is never good policy and I personally would rather develop and spent money, effort and energies on alternative energies and clean and green technologies.
Anything we attempt though is going to have consequences of some sort good and bad down the road, so the fewer new problems we create for ourselves the better and the simpler the solutions the better.

We
We are the reflections and offspring of this superorganism island Earth, in the heavens.
Our purpose is to evolve and or co-evolve responsibly, sustainabily and organically together
and to care for and understand the greater being and our local ecozone.
Then, and only then will we and do we find mutual joy, harmony and contentment in our existence.
