Again a great event - I had to attend ! - as we were preparing for months a 3-day course of "LIVING DEMOCRACY" to take place next week, Nov 25-27 in Berlin. But unfortunately it got postponed last week !!! ... No comment on my part at this point !! „Digitale Demokratie leben – Wandlungen demokratischer Partizipation und Öffentlichkeit durch neue Kommunikationstechnologien“ - 25.11.-27.11.2013, Alte Feuerwache in Berlin, Seminar in Kooperation mit dem Portal Ideengeschichte der Universität Marburg
Zielsetzung: Das Seminar möchte Studierende und Erwachsene dazu motivieren, sich mit den aktuellen Entwicklungstendenzen der digitalen Demokratie zu beschäftigen und die Urteilsfähigkeit der Teilnehmer in Bezug auf die Demokratie-Potenziale und Demokratie-Defizite der neuen Medien stärken und die Besonderheiten unserer Beteiligungs-, Erörterungs-, und Entscheidungskultur erkennen und erfahren sowie den Konnex von Abstimmung und Verantwortung einbeziehen. Die Teilnehmer sollen sich dabei an Orten der politischen Willensbildung, der zivilgesellschaftlichen Partizipation sowie der politischen Exekutive (Bundesregierung) über die aktuellen Entwicklungen des Cyberspace und seine Auswirkungen auf die Demokratie informieren. Vor dem Hintergrund des Bundestagswahlkampfes sollen die Teilnehmer sich über die Bedeutung des Web 2.0 informieren und die Arbeit von spezifischen Akteuren, wie PR-Agenturen (Spin-Doctors) kennenlernen und diskutieren. Nachdem sie sich top down über die Bedeutung des Web 2.0 von der Seite der Bundesregierung (Bundespresseamt sowie Bundesministerium des Innern) her informiert sollen, wo sie über das aktuelle Problem der ambivalenten Tätigkeit der Geheimdienste (Überwachung aller Lebensbereich der Bürger) diskutieren, informieren sie sich bottom up über die zivilgesellschaftlichen Potenziale der E-Partizipation und Social Media. - Virtuelles Tagungsbüro
