"A double minded man is unstable in all his ways." -- James 1: 8
************
"Tell me; where do you think God is?"
"Why, He is within me and everywhere." I doubtless looked as bewildered as I felt.
"All-pervading, eh?" The saint chuckled. "Then why, young sir, did you fail to bow before the Infinite in the stone symbol at the Tarakeswar temple yesterday? Your pride caused you the punishment of being misdirected by the passer-by who was not bothered by fine distinctions of left and right. Today, too, you have had a fairly uncomfortable time of it!" -- Autobiography of a Yogi
My body aches.
What do you mean by "my"?
I mean that which is part of me.
Who is this me? Do you mean the "me" that has a mother and father?
Of course not. I mean the me that is spirit that was never born, that has always existed, the me that simply is.
Are you saying that it is the spirit "me" that aches?
Of course not!
Come on, make up your mind. Either you ache or you don't.
I see what you mean. Obviously, the me that is spirit cannot ache.
OK, so...
So, there must be another me that does ache. More >

Have you ever known you were on a wild goose chase and done it anyway? I had one earlier today.
As I planned to go into town later today, I figured I might as well use the Guildhall Library in the City and then go from there. That was the logical thing to do. After the initial "flurry of activity" of catching the bus I needed, I relaxed so I could enjoy the journey. It was then I had a knowing that the Guildhall was closed. I reasoned that it couldn't possibly be closed as it's only two days to Christmas; in any case, the other libraries are still open. But the knowing persisted. I didn't feel like getting off the bus. I reasoned that if it was closed I would head off into town. My knowing showed me an inner movie where I saw myself going to the library, being told it was closed, getting on another bus, and arriving at the library I normally use at 12 noon. More >

Sometimes, to paraphrase Robert Burns, the best laid plans can cause one nothing but grief. This is why I believe in going with the flow.
My friend and I have just finished working in the library. As she only lives local, I'm walking with her as far as her house then heading off into town. She decides to stop off at a local internet cafe for a few minutes. Just as I am saying goodbye she invites me to have dinner at her house. It's so spontaneous I don't have time to think, so I accept her invitation More >

Last night, I watched a very poignant episode of the sci-fi series, Torchwood. Before I elaborate on the episode, here is a bit of background. Torchwood Institute was "formed to research and combat paranormal threats to Great Britain, and use their findings to make the British Empire great again. To those ends, it acquires and reverse engineers alien technology by any means deemed necessary."
In the episode called Out of Time, a plane that took off in 1953 lands in present day Cardiff (Wales). The passengers are met by three Torchwood members: Gwen, Owen and Jack. The passengers are informed that their plane went through a time rift, which means they can never go back to their time. Each member of the Torchwood team makes a connection with each passenger.
