"Order = disorder; self = not-self; affirmation = negation; ultimate emanations of absolute art... I love an old work for its novelty. It is only contrast that attaches us to the past."
---Tristan Tzara

THE SPACE ELEVATOR CONFERENCE 2002 was held one week ago (Aug.12 - Aug.13)

The elevator in question would consist essentially of a cable, attached at one end to an ocean-going platform, and connected at the other end to a satellite in orbit some 35,000 kilometers above Earth.

Going up, anyone? (Private Group Begins Work on Space Elevator)
