Project Summary 3: The Book of Numbers

by Max Sandor Title The Book of Numbers Short Description A system for classifying the qualtitave impact of numbers on anything that can be numbered. Keywords Group theory, scientific numerology, new algebra, numerical series, number base mappings, decimal, binary, octal, hexadecimal, ...

Scientific Context
Numerology as a subject has a long history. It was considered a science at various times in the past, at others it was called charlatanism. Some call it sacred, others the work of the devil. Nearly all information available at present time is non-scientific, based on superstition or religious endeavours. The study of the properties of numbers based on the study of the properties of groups composed of a certain number of members is rare or is being applied only to geometrical structures. The present work is based on the latter and expanded for groups of humans of various member sizes and is further extended to cover psychological impactation by linking to the system of phenomenal classifications known as Ifá [3]. All what is documented here can be duplicated unless explicitly stated otherwise. This is a requirement of science. All informations are drawn from observation only. This makes this type of numerology, despite its ominous namesgiving, an empirical science.

Advantages
If types of events indeed follow and/or precede other such types, one can estimate or even predict outcome and probable sources of these events. It becomes possible to classify the various types of events based on their associated number. It is further possible to determine static sequences of events (scripts). For different event classes relationships can be postulated according to the relationships of their corresponding numbers.

Known Shortcomings
The links to the archetypes [G] of this Universe have been so far only partially developed.

Description
The properties of atoms, molecules, and any structure can be described by the numbers of the nodes of their geometrical representation (Buckminster Fuller). A previously unknown element of the Periodic Table of Elements has been found this way (C60).
It is postulated that the properties of elements change in a deterministic way when nodes are added to its geometric representations. Adding such nodes maps to the sequence of natural numbers.
The graph of the factors of a natural number can be called a number tree. These trees demonstrate intrinsic relationships between numbers based on their factorial qualities. It is postulated that the relationships between elements is mirrored in the relationships between the numbers describing their structure.
Prime numbers have no non-trivial factors. Their qualities can not be assessed by the theory presented here. However, their properties can be estimated by evaluating the properties of its predecessor and its successor number.
Prime numbers mark sequences of numbers which have factors. These encapsulations are called 'scripts'.

Examples

References
[A] The ConCur Paradigm - the structure of Reality
[B] UrTon - the basis of spoken languages
[D]Quantum Fá - a practical guide to this Universe
[E] Polar Dynamics - theory and praxis of polarities
[F] Game Theory - why and how do we manifest?
[G] Archetypology of the human Being
[H] Polar Dynamics 1, 2004, by Maximilian J. It was obvious to me at that time, that
- In the 80's and 90's I tried to consolidate a structure common to all languages in the ConCur Paradigm [5], a research project to simulate all aspects of reality.
- at the end of the 90's I found the classification system of Ifá [6] and started to integrate sound patterns into this matrix of principles called Odu.
- Beginning in 2008, with access to the literary heritance of Luís Caldas Tibiriçá [3], I consolidated the theory with practical examples, drawn from more than 50 languages and 250 dialects.
- By 2014, while there are still many details to fill into the gridwork of sounds, a stable platform had been formed.

Classification of root words and their meanings
(For the following we have to disregard the often arbitrary ways that words are spelled in written language and focus on the way they are pronounced by common speakers. We will also disregard words compised of several independent words, such as "kindergarten")

Words can be:
1. stand alone sound patterns we shall roots like engl."I", "eye",
2. pseudo-composites or composites that are embellished roots like engl. "me", or roots modified by pre- or suffixes, such as engl. "mine, thine", and
3. 'true' composites, like 'mother'. (Note, that it can be argued that all those words could be broken into parts such as to arrive at pseudo-composites).

There are few stand alone and true composites words. The vast majority are composed of roots which have been generic modifier added to them to indicate its attributes as, for example. direction, size, and ownership.

The Nordic runes alphabet called the Younger Futhark ("die Male") and the Ifá system of the so-called "I-Male" can be matched congruently and through this association we can allocate energy patterns to language sounds.

With this, we have sixteen proto-sounds. In the following list, the numeric value is followed by the Ifá name and code, the rune name, and, where applicable the Solfeggio name. All Ifá names are coded names, so are some of the rune names. The solfeggio names are one of the few remainders of the rune system after the eradication of all things 'runic' by the Roman forces. Many runes have been compromised in meaning and application. The English equivalent sounds are not exactly the protosounds (for which there are no letters) but rather the closest approximation possible.

8. Ogbe (1111 - hagall)
'g' like in 'great': solid, all things great or special. See variations and example below.
2. Oyeku (0000 - úr)
'ur' - 'u' like in 'cool': gaseous, potential, ancient, yet unseen, possibilities
5. Oshe (1010 - sh - SI)
'sh' like in "she": fluid, female, beauty, synthesis
10. Ofun (0101 - fé - FA)
'fa' like in 'father': colloidal, male, chaos, cause. Softened forms are 'v' and 'w'.
12. Iwori (0110 - yr)
'(y)r' like in 'nerd': expansion, space, heaven
11. Odi ((1001 - odin - DO)
'd' in 'doll': contraction, mass, Earth
4. Irosun (1100 - Thurs)
'th' like in 'thursday': energy, impulse, fast. There are various important sub-sounds in the irosun sub-class, all 'explosives', such as 'p'- destroy, 't' - insist, confirm, 'z' as an explosives - similar to 'p'
7. Owonrin (1001 - reið)
'r' like in 'Carol': time, slowing, settling
6. Obara (1000 - björk)
'b' like in 'boy': being, bearing. See example below.
10. Okanran (0001 - nauðr)
'n' - like in ´no': awareness, depth. See below for variations.
3. Ogunda (1110 - isa - SOL)
'g' like in 'gun': steady, anchored, firm. See below for variations. Alternatives: 'is' (exists, located), 'er' - male suffix
9. Osa (0111 - lögr - LA)
'l' like in 'lake': balance, unstability. See also below for notes on variations.
13. Ika (0100 - kaun)
'k' like in 'kill': (un)creation, life and death
14 Oturupon (0010 - týr)
'yr' like in 'tyrant': power, will. See example below.
15. Otura (1011 - sig - MI) :
'm' like in 'mother': love, self, identity, ownership. Note: the rune 'sig' has been heavily compromised.
16. Irete (1101 - ár - RE)
're' like in 'reality': (free) choice. See example below.

Vowels as directional indicators
In Urton, vowels are seen as modifiers which provide a directional sense to root word. They can also used as pseudo-root words for themselves, like in engl. "I".

a = affirmation, having
e - exclamation, existential
i = inside, inbound, input, self, self-reflexive
o = outside, outbount, output, other(s), elogy
u = under, negative

'i' can substitute 'e' in which case it is a general vowl shift and not limited to just one word. Such a vowl shift points to ethnic characteristics, meaning the self-perception of its speakers. This is a sensitive and delicate issue which is difficult to discuss without provoking controversies.

The remaining sounds that constitute modern languages
Sounds that are not in above list, are either derivates or variations of the above. Their are for the most part inituitively recognizable and allocable. In the cases they are not, they will vary from culture to culture but they will normally be traceable to fit into the scheme of UrTon. Until now, no sound of human languages has been identified that would not fit logically into this classification.

Here are the most frequent sounds that are not explicitly part in the basic Futhark/Ifá matrix:
V, W: are variations of 'f' (Ofun), a labial sound
p, t, (hard) z & c: are 'dental explosives' from the Irosun ('th') class
j, y: variations of the 'i' directive
Note x: like in 'vax': is 'k' followed by a 'z' and is not a single-sound pattern.

Multiple features of 'n'
Most often 'n' an indicator for a manifestation in space, for example, 'i-n' denotes an inside space. But is can function also as a 'negator', such as engl. 'no'. This double-feature is reflected in the Rune symbol which can be 'X' or '+', meaning either crossing out or extending something. As a suffix it points to a consciousness and sometimes shifts towards 'm'.

Various sounds of 'r','s', and 'g'
The basic 16 sounds of the UrTon concept have a surprising variety of 'r' sounds. This is because the 'r' sound has a large variety of sounds packed together into one letter. Each of the sounds is very distinct which becomes clear when looking at the its formants which are fundamentally different for each version of what we summarize as 'r'.
Similarly, 's' can be soft or hard and those are very much different sounds. The formants of a sustained 'soft-s' are typically indistinguishible from an 'l' sound.
'g'like in Ogbe (1111) is very similar to that in Ogunda (1110) and this similarity extends to their rune symbols. The 'g' is more general, global, and harder and guttural in its pronounciation, whereas the 'g' in Ogunda is more in direction of grounding, centering, and anchoring, and is palatal.

Gender of speaker and sound formation
The formants of the voice prints of female speakers are generally not distinguishable from voice prints of children. Both are very different from those of male speakers. Additionally, some languages have different suffixes for genders that accommodate some aspects of this phenomenon. Typically, those sounds for female speakers gravitate towards 'a' and 'e/ae' and for male speakers towards 'o/on'.
These differences could be explained with the qualities of the 'a' and 'o' vowls but, similar to ethnic considerations, a discussion may be provocative for some.

A few key examples
The following are very brief notes which, once expanded, would fill books.
Oba - ahd. 'mayor', yor. 'king', germ. 'ober', engl. 'over': 'O' indicates a male, high, or great item outside the speaker, such as a prefix for a superior (person) or a higher location. The suffix 'a' denotes 'stability' or 'located' to indicate a permanence to the concept. As one example of how to apply it for further words:'Obey' from the listener's perspective an exclamation ('e') followed by a pointer to oneself, hence the connotation of a command originating from an authority (Oba-e-i). This is one example where it doesn't matter how the derivation of an original construcht arrived here over time but the meaning of its intent communicates subliminally.
Erde (germ), earth (engl) - '(y)r' plus 'd'. The shift from ending 'd' to ending 'th' has both ethnic as linguistic implications. The original concept is that of Iwori+Odi ('heavens' and 'earth-ground' and is identically in Chinese. Likewise expressed in its runes, the components are seen as pairing opposites. Like it exponents, sun (UrTon 'what is extending upwards') and sol (Ogunda), what comes from below, has been subject to memetic swapping in latin languages. 'sol', as in engl. 'sole', became the 'sun', earth became "t(i)er-ra', ("the ground (land) which is governed"), and 'mond', engl. moon, became the world 'mondo'. the 'moon', in turn, became 'luna', in UrTon "a shifting (unstable) consciousness".
'Power': a compound of 'p', 'to kill', and '(yr) 'space' - the ability to kill (a property of a slave master in antiguity).
'Reality': that which is established ('-ity') as 're-al': 'put there by choice', an attribute of sovereigns, usurped by the 'royal' ('re-al') people in antiguity.

------------------------
[1] Brothers Grimm
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brothers_Grimm
[2] Research and Technology Center Darmstadt (FTZ)
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fernmeldetechnisches_Zentralamt
[3] Luís Caldas Tibiriçá
https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lu%C3%ADs_Caldas_Tibiri%C3%A7%C3%A1
[4] Brüder Grimm Museum Kassel
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Br%C3%BCder_Grimm-Museum_Kassel
[5] The ConCur Paradigm
http://sandorian.us/newslog2.php/__show_article/_a000245-000393.htm
[6] Ifá as philosophical system

ConCur strictly enforces the principles of Object-Oriented Programming. Most of today's OOP applications can be used in a mixed-mode. Few programmers exist who are truly comfortable in OOP-only-environment.
- a further challenge is the need to separate polar units into their positive (yang) and negative (yin) aspects, While trivial when dividing a computer into hardware and software, for example, other items may require a quite profound understanding of the concepts at hand.

Basic Design
ConCur implementations are binary trees for BOTH program and data. There is NO structural difference between both because program and data are just part of the giant ConCur tree of the entire Universe. ConCur defines itself using its own paradigm, ConCur.
More descriptively, what we call a 'program' we associate with a positive, active, 'yang' quality; 'data', as a phenomenon, accordingly as a negative, passive, 'yin' manifestation.
A 'program' part can be either actions, such as commands, which is active, yang, positive, and queries or branching which is 'yin', its negative side.
A 'data' part can be fixed (yang), such as constants, or variable (yin) which are containers.
If we go upstream in this ConCur model, we arrive at the concept of software, which is the 'yin' part of an 'agent. Obviously, the 'active side' is the hardware (yang). An example for an agent consisting of a mechanical device would be computer, or more complete, a robot. For the 'life forms' of a human as such an 'agent', we would have the physical body and the 'mind'.
If we go downstream in the model, we'll arrive at 0/1 on the computational level and a +/- charge in the physical media.
In short, a systematic progressive split into yin/yang sides will give us a conCur representation of a 'reality'.

Reality and Language
'Reality', as defined like above, and 'Language' as such are interchangeable phenomena. Any ConCur representation can therefore also be used as a language. For an example of a self-defining language created with these principles, see 'Genesis of NeuLinge' [2].

Implementation
A rudimentary ConCur implementation is a collection of token pairs. In its most basic form:
[State Id] [action returning a perception/evaluation] [pointer if positive] [pointer if negative]
In a minimal. simulatable, and failsafe executional form:
[Time] [State Id] [action returning a perception/evaluation] [next State if positive] [next State if negative] [error escape]
For practical applications, a context must be chosen. This is the 'data' side of the implementation. Both streams can be mixed and can be recursively defined or invoked.

Developed applications
For business reasons, the existing ConCur applications focused mainly on a few marketable areas such as language translators and trade transaction simulations:
- 1988: Digipak, an interface between CAD and dimensional inspection robots, implemented in Pascal and XLISP
- 1989: The Hole - a BBS role-playing game with minimal data exchange flows, implemented in LISP
- 1993: NOPS, a Universal stock and option trading strategy platform, which was used to simulate all major trading strategies at the time for all the data of the Futures and Options of CBOT (Chicago Board of Trade) since the year 1898. implement in Visual Basic
- 1995: GeoTrans, a programmable cross-translator for DMIS and other dimensional inspection languages; implemented in Pascal.

Similar application concepts
The Block-chain principle [3] as used by Bitcoin is an example of a ConCur model that is using 'remote agents' and implements 'supervisor agents' to describe payment transactions that can exist independently of a centralized data collection authority.

Similar concepts in philosophy and science
The cognitive scientist Donald Hoffman uses evolutionary game theory to investigate our perceptions of an independent reality. All arguments presented at [4] dove-tail into the ConCur paradigm as a relevant model for a representation of reality at large.

Vision and Outlook
Everything that exists can be represented by a ConCur model using an appropriate resolution of the digital data. In this aspect, ConCur can be thought of as a perfect Turing machine. It can be used for both software and hardware aspects. The extreme simplicity of its binary structure invites the vision of using it in both biological computers and of quantum-state computers.

To a certain degree, ConCur representations are fully scaleable and can be mixed with current solutions. A gradient global implementation path would be realizable.

It could be speculated that research and development in computing would eventually go this way in any case because it is the most effective, close-to-nature solution available and thinkable.

The first 25 years since its publication has already shown several indepedent technological movements in the direction of the postulates of the ConCur Paradigm and more are sure to follow soon.

References
[1] IEEE 4th World Conference on Robotics Research, 1991, Carnegie-Mellon University, "ConCur - a Computing Paradigm"
https://openlibrary.org/books/OL13300409M/4th_World_Conference_on_Robotics_Research_1991_1898
[2] Genesis of a language
http://www.maxsandor.com/neulinge/genesis.html
[3] Blockchain principles
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blockchain_(database)
[4] The Evolutionary Argument Against Reality
https://www.quantamagazine.org/20160421-the-evolutionary-argument-against-reality

-----------
Max Sandor on the web: maxsandor.com
Amazon's author page: Maximilian-Sandor
Facebook (Public Figure Page) MaximilianSandor

I mean, why take a bachelors degree in something so unrelated to your profession.
The question is not a straightforward one to answer. My position is that an inquiry for knowledge comes from within. The observation of one’s immediate environment the ideal place to start. This year my most present being was Robert, a large white painted industrial robot.
Once coded the destiny of this trained monkey will be to toil endlessly in a factory. The program consist of lifting rock and mineral laden buckets; from a feeder conveyor, weighing them, and emphatically tossing the contents into one of several nearby crushing machines.
Destined to be a blue collar member of society, I began to teach him the necessary commands. Machine Code Commence: Pick bucket stop, If BucketWeight equals X then do Y stop. Else if … and ad nauseam stop.
Long days and late night coffees inherently led to errors in machine coding. Erroneous commands would bring the program screeching to a halt. Debugging the code frequently revealed a contradictory command. A move instruction comparable to the following; Go RightLeft. An obvious impossibility.
I was elated and far from frustrated. I’ve got it! This is similar to when confused people appear rooted to the spot. Seemingly incapable of moving from their position. Go left. Go right. The program that circles in one’s head has stumbled across an un-executable command.
Through an examining of human behaviour I began to see a resemblance with robots. Like machines, humans also appear to follow a pre-programmed script; Human code commence: If 7am wake up stop, if day equals WorkDay then go to place of employment stop… The idea captivated me. Psychologist hypothesize that we are beings of habit, but is this really just another way of saying we follow a structured program? One that we participated in creating and actively go about modifying with each new experience?
Human beings are obviously a lot more complicated than simple factory robots and the idea that we are unconscious beings blindly actioning a coded script is difficult to process at first. However, as I entertain this idea my mind flies along tangents of endless possibilities. And still the question remains; are humans just more complexly programmed machines?

Olympic Games. Playful competition, celebration of the fittest, panem et circensis, or just plain business?

Besides personal and national honors, a lot of dollars are at stake. An excellent time to stir fear and anxiety in the hearts of the people. Prime time for mass manipulation. Who will win the meta-game?

Not leaving out such a good opportunity, the creators of the opening show will dump an ancient rune into the mind of the masses, not just in the Maracanã arena, but also worldwide for a LOT of spectators, perhaps topping three billions. The rehearsals for the opening show, in the works since 5 years, are still going on and the first inquiries are already pouring into my mailbox - about a symbol that will in just a few days massively float into collective consciousness.

If you want the good News only, skip this stuff and scroll down to Good News.

Within the pantheon of today's symbolism, this symbol is clearly the inversion of the Peace symbol. The question is: does it mean that war is about to begin? Or does it mean that it is time to 'surrender'? Or victory? For whom?

The Nazis thought of it as the the rune of life. For those who disagreed with them it became the rune of death. This symbol was the sign of the Nazi's Lebensborn movement, their Eugenics program of creating a master race by weeding out 'unworthy' life, a program that some say never stopped. To bring this Meme down on one of the world's most diverse population seems either uneducated, strange or distasteful. You decide.

In the end, what the rune really meant, nobody seems to know for sure. Wikipedia's entry demonstrates how 'anything goes' in these kinds of interpretations: the Algiz rune There it can basically have any of about 10 different pronounciations and meanings.

On top of that, the rune itself has been equated in ancient times with its opposite; a sure way to confuse everything. Maybe Wilhelm Grimm had it right, it just means 'elk'. In which case, the hidden message is quite clear of course: "Never mind the Kangoroo - here comes the Elk!"

One thing is sure, as I said above, in our times, today that is, if one means something, the other means the opposite. You can't have it both ways. Or can you?

Let's keep always in mind:

"War is peace.
Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.”

― George Orwell, "1984"

The psychology of this rune as a stance is interesting, to say the least. In Masonry, it is the "GRAND HAILING SIGN OF DISTRESS", according to this secret symbol spoiler site made by their renegades. Soldiers and thugs alike raise their hands in surrender.

Why would a winner raise his hands to this stance? Is it to indicate that the fight is over and that there is a winner? Is it to end further violence? Or is it demonstrate superiority? To intimidate the beaten opponents into complete submission?

Personally, I hope that these Games will come to a peaceful conclusion. There is so much unnecessary violence, fraud, and incompetence around, it would be good to see some honest competition even if the results mean absolutely nothing. Who cares if a two-legged creature runs one hundred meters in less than nine seconds? Whom is served? Who is saved? Where's the beef? It is its uselessness that makes these kind of games innocent. Enjoyable for whoever wants to enjoy it. Meaningless for everyone else. Yes, it certainly is just 'panem et circensis', an exciting tranquilizer for the masses, and a nice profit for a few. A time to forget what is really going on in the world.

Let's call out the quote for this month of August 2016:

“Certainly the game is rigged. Don't let that stop you; if you don't bet you can't win.”

― Robert A. Heinlein, "Time Enough for Love"

And, as far as the rune descending on Maracanâ, whether it means life or death: perhaps Wilhelm Grimm was right and it is an elk? In which case Sigmund may have added "Sometimes an elk is simply an elk!"

Ooops.. with all of this jazz, I never answered the actual question I had been asked: what do you, Max, think that the rune is meaning?
If you did the Quantum-Fá Online Course, the answer is easy: this rune is the equivalent to Odi (in Yoruba), simplified: the element Earth, contraction, defense. The nordic equivalent, you guessed it, is Odin, the template for the names of God in various modern forms: Theos, Zeus, Deus, Dio, (Shang-)Di etc. In applied Ifá is the symbol of Olokun, Poseidon/Neptune, and his trident spear, the powers from below rising. In short, for some perhaps it is the mark of the Beast, for others just plain, good old Paganism.

Good News:
Yes, symbols wield a tremendous power over both the subconscious and the superconscious minds. But if we access the powers they point to, we can rise above them!

As for its symbolism in the Olympics and in general: its meaning is in the eye of the beholder. There is no victory without defeat.

Any true progress is marked by the transcendance of dichotomies.
