(aybe because 'm very musical.). s far as syntax etc. is concerned, well ......... that's why could never be a good programmer :)

Why Learning A New Language May Make You Forget Your Old One: Learning new languages

2007-01-30 10:30: comment by ming on "hy earning ew anguage ay ake ou orget our ld ne":
do recognize that phenomenon. t seems easiest to learn a new language if one temporarily forgets the old one, and one immerges oneself completely in the new, looking for what things are called there, grasping for the concepts in a new way.

ut then later, one can go back and remember the old language, and be bilingual, without much cause for conflict.

do notice how learning rench has made me forget some of my nglish. h, it obviously still is there, but 've lost some of the certainty as to what is correct and what isn't. ut now that 've almost arrived at a stage where can express myself in rench without much trouble, might have to go back and study some nglish grammar. never really studied any in the first place, but now notice how a few rules might come in handy sometimes.
