Joachim and I are thinking about starting a mailing list for discussion of
Celestine Prophecy. It is for many people an inspiration in the direction
of a new civilization, and there doesn't seem to be any existing discussion
group, for some reason.
Would any of you like to volunteer to be the administrator of such a list?
It would mainly involve keeping a continuous eye on it, subscribing and
unsubscribing people who don't know how, and getting rid of invalid
addresses. As list administrator of a large list one gets a considerable
stack of returned messages in the mail every day.

As you know there are quite a list of mailing lists available for various
sub-groups of NCN. Most of them are currently quite inactive. That is not
in itself any problem, and they can still be used at any time, or new ones
can be created as needed. I just wanted to let you know in case you were
wondering. The ncndiscuss-l list is the place to bring something up for
discussion if you don't know where else to put it. Also, the Whole Systems
list is well suited for general subjects encompassing new civilization and
is very active.

There is Web space available on the newciv.org server for any of you who
would like to put up pages on new civilization related subjects or
activities. Joachim and I can put up individual items, or you can be
provided a Web area to maintain by yourself. Joachim <jhs@newciv.org> who
is the benefactor and operator of the server has the final call on what
goes on, but he is generous with the resources.

The newciv.org Web server has recently had a lot of traffic. A week ago it
peaked at 15000 hits in one day, based on some favorable mentions on other
major sites. The server seems to be holding up fine to the traffic so it
shouldn't pose any problem in the foreseeable future.
