NCN: IRC chat

The IRC chat this morning went very well. Thanks to those of you who made
it there.

I know that there was a bit confusion on the time for some. Sorry we missed
you. I'll try to write out the times in a few different time zones for the
next meeting.

Also, if some of you tried to get to it, but had technical problems, let me
know and we'll try to figure that out.

In this morning's meeting we talked about what might be needed to move
towards a desired future that we aren't all sure what will be. We talked
about possible roles for new civilization ideas, how to integrate them more
with our daily survival issues, and how to present something to the general
public that is meaningful and of value along the lines of what NCN is
about. Hints of integrating idealism more with business. I feel we got
somewhere.

However, because of the nature of chat sessions, I can't tell you the exact
outcome or what we specifically agreed upon. Interactive chats don't quite
work that way. They are more non-linear.

I plan to make transcripts of chat sessions available for those who
couldn't attend. Probably mainly from a web page. I only think they should
be available to members, so I will need to solve the technicality of that
first. However, any of you who want this transcript sooner, just let me
know and I'll e-mail it.

There will be another chat session next Sunday, 15 October. Channel '#ncn',
password 'tolerance'.

This time I suggest 10AM U.S. Pacific Daylight Time, to make it a bit more
feasible to participate from Hawaii. The time is still inconvenient from
Australia or the Far East, but should be possible from most other other
places.
