NCN logos, insignia, etc.

There is now a page with various icons and logos that those of you with web
sites can use to link to NCN pages, or just to display proudly on your
site, if you feel like it:

http://www.worldtrans.org/ncn/ncnresource.html

More logos or imagery would be very welcome, from any of you with some
artistic ability. I don't think we should have just one logo, as freedom to
choose is inherent in NCN.

Michael Wilson just sent in a couple of very nice pictures that would be
very suitable to use to link to NCN. Feel free to use the "New Civilization
Network Member Site" icon on your own web sites, or any of the other ones.

I was otherwise just about to announce a new NCN Logo Contest. We had one
earlier and got some nice entries. For example, Hum Hofman created a nice
logo last year. I just felt that we needed some more choices.

I'm still looking for something that would work well on a t-shirt. Some of
the existing graphics might work, but then I'm not quite sure. If any of
you would like to suggest designs, or you maybe are able to see the project
through and get some t-shirts manufactured, feel free to grab the ball.

Also, Chris Toussaint has offered to do an animated video logo. We just
need to decide on what imagery to use. Currently I'm partial to globes and
rainbows, but suggestions are welcome.

I also think we ought to have bumper stickers, and maybe hats and lapel pins.

Let me stress, none of this is intended to turn NCN into a commercial
venture, or to enforce any particular symbolism on anybody. Rather, it
could be useful in spreading the word somewhat wider, inspiring more people
to think about new civilizations.
