NEWCIV.ORG SERVER
The newciv.org server which contains most of the mailing list facilities
that we are using for NCN has for several years been graciously contributed
and maintained by Max Sandor <max@newciv.org> at considerable personal
costs. I would like to, on all of our behalf, extend thanks to Max for
providing this service, without which NCN wouldn't quite have worked so
well.
The server will shortly be moved to another location, as it will be
connected to the Synchronicity Networks T1 connection I have in Venice
Beach. This will relieve Max of the burden of paying for the connection and
it should also allow the server to work faster.

NEW CIVILIZATION FOUNDATION
For those of you who have joined us recently, the New Civilization
Foundation is a planned entity that will be involved in facilitating new
civ oriented projects on a grand scale. The development of this entity was
mostly inspired by us being approached by some people who would like to
donate very large amounts of resources towards this purpose.
There has been hectic activity in a mailing list that was set up for
working out some of the details in this. If you want to join this list you
write to listserv@newciv.org with the message 'subscribe ncnculture-L'. Be
aware, however, that there is a lot of traffic there. The dialogue is very
focused on the elements of the foundation and not just for general
discussion.
This group has recently been working on producing a mission statement for
the foundation, and that seems to be coming along very well.
The status of the funding is that it is looking quite promising at this
point. Adam Lilien, Julie Solheim and I were meeting with the benefactors
last Monday. Everything indicates at this point that something will happen
on this before the end of the year.

PEACE ROOM
The Foundation for Conscious Evolution, spearheaded by Barbara Marx
Hubbard, is now operating an on-line "Peace Room" where one can list
socially innovative co-creative projects in different categories, and one
can search the database for what has already been listed.

WHOLE LIFE EXPO
A group of L.A. collaborators have been given 8 booths on the next "Whole
Life Expo", which is next weekend. This is probably the biggest expo of its
kind in the world, with 10s of thousands of visitors every time. We're
planning a "New Civilization Garden" layout, which will include a "cyber
garden", a "peace garden" and a "healing garden". This should be a very
nice exposure for NCN and related activities. The general announcement is
