It Merely Sleeps
As two twining roses before a chilling frost
Did cling in their summer waning solace
So we must be, though storms blow us apart
The roots of such love are grown together More >

Mistletoe the Merry Mouse:
The Special Visit
Mistletoe sat there cleaning her whiskers. They sparkled in the morning sunshine that filtered through the old house. She looks up and sees the dust motes dancing about her. A wondrous winter day begins again. It is time to start her daily tour of the house. It must be kept in order and everything in its proper place. Her long tail twitched and her round ears searched the air for sounds. All seemed quite the usual this morning.

Lover’s Tryst
What is this that counts not the hours?
Ah, a lover’s tryst in secret garden lanes
Eyes gazing back and a fullness rises
Bringing tears and trembling smiles More >

I used to meet up with people on the audiochat program called MPlayer. There were rooms with Native Americans. One evening and older gentleman and I were the only ones left in the room. He asked me if he could recite a poem to me. I said, sure, thinking he was just going to read it. I was delighted when he put some NA flute in the background.
I was crying by the time he was done. It is a powerful poem, unfortunately the author is unknown. If any of those reading this know who wrote it, please let me know. More >

What Manner of Magic?
What manner of magic enters the world,
When lovers cross into timelessness?
This ship of fools never docks
But goes forever on into the night
Lights twinkling on and off
Eyes shining, hearts beating. More >

Like Children on the Shore
The burning of a thousand stars in space
Cannot dim the fire you light within
As they glow in cold-frozen space

The Winds Do Blow
The winds tore through our town the other day. Watching out the window at work reminded me of scenes of tornado winds. I knew though that these winds were no comparison to those incredible raging blasts. I dared not wander around the trees on my walk that day, so I gazed wistfully as the storm blew by,making the trees dance almost gaily. More >

Hello, Raven
When I was a young mother and my oldest son was about four years old, we had a strange experience. I was divorced and I was living with my mother. We had a very large black cat named Maynard, a Siamese named Tillicum and several fish. We obviously loved animals. There was a park nearby and the river not too far either. The small park was at the end of the street and always had joggers running around it and kids playing soccer. More >
