One Seeker's Journey: More Thoughts on The Day the Earth Stood Still

I got some interesting feedback from a reproduction of my article The Day the Earth Stood Still: Thoughts on Why They're Here in the May/June issue of the Minnesota MUFON Journal. One reply in particular was particularly eye-opening. This was an observation that we are already carrying our military activity into space. While we do not yet have star travel, we can cause a problem for any visitors who do come our way.

The respondent sent me a link to the U.S.Air Force Space Command website, where the US strategy for the control of space was presented. There, laid out in PDF format for all to see, is the U.S. Doctrine on the control of the high frontier.

In the Disclosure Project Briefing Points Dr. Stephen Greer makes the statement that the U.S. Militarization of space is a direct threat to the cosmic community, and that this could have trememdous consequences down the road.

While this exact scenario might or might-not have been envisioned by the author(s) of the "Day the Earth Stood Still", I am once again reminded of just how far-sighted, this movie was. And it is somewhat disconcerting to think that Klattu was probably right. We are indeed close to becoming a threat to the neighbors - perhaps earlier than I had initially imagined.

Namaste,
-Craig

Certainly food for thought craig. It just thrills me to no end to know our government has plans to control space. Beam me up scotty.

5 May 2003 @ 14:17 by sharie : watch out
Great point to ponder. From what I gather, the military technology is so inferior to the extra-terrestrials, that the military can barely track them on the radar, let alone, catch them or shoot them down. "space command" ? What a joke.

Don't worry Craig.

On the other hand, if a spacecraft filled with dummies did pass by, and they didn't bother to scan Earth for weapons and intelligent life forms first, and we did obliterate them, we might be struck down by a retaliating extra-terrestial military. Or our military could tell us that's what's happening so we think we're under E.T. invasion when it's really those greedy billionaires actin' out their unresolved childhood issues again.

5 May 2003 @ 15:21 by spiritseek : How much would it cost to rebuild space.
and they could contract that out amongst themselves.

7 May 2003 @ 17:00 by magical_melody : Very interesting viewpoints Craig!
Hey buddy, I like the open mindedness with which you have expressed yourself here. I appreciate the time you took to think outloud with us. Hmmmm. Makes me wonder what the heck is really going on behind the scenes! I can embrace a number of possibilities as I think that perhaps there are multiple agendas truly taking place with a variety of players. Makes sense to me, as that is what is happening for us humans here on Earth. Multiple realities, communication systems, technologies, and agendas. So much that has been hidden and denied is now rearing its head up and various people at differing stages of wakeup and slumber all in the mix!! What a grande time to be here as we are all at choice and many of us are gearing up to do our bit to help the evolving story of birth to unfold! Ours and the greater whole...in here and out there. Yes, some are really quite primitive, and yet so advanced...Hmmm polarities dance!! Let's get free from our trance of 'It's a jungle out there', or is it 'heaven birthing in the midst of hell? As we all shake loose from the spells!! Peace, Magical Melody signing off now...http://www.supercable.es/~panaderos/images/caveman.gif http://www.animatedgif.net/cartoons/alien-1_e0.gif

I love it.
Life is too important to be taken seriously... :-)

9 May 2003 @ 06:52 by martha : my point
exactly - though buttercup (aka richie) tries to get me on the straight and narrow sometimes. And poor Loopy Bananabrain- he finally gave up and joins me in occassional maddness.

Why craig I found a relative of yours. Several Poopsies around including your cousin Poopsie Applefanny.

and here is another Poopsie.
