As the Internet grows and becomes a part of our lives, it brings with it a unique opportunity to meet people we likely would never have met in any other way. And very often, those people we meet on line will become friends. Sometimes, very close friends.

Although you are a friend of mine
and letters we exchange,
I wouldn't know you on the street,
and doesn't that seem strange?

You hold a place within my life,
unusual and unique;
We share ideals and special dreams,
and still, we do not speak.

I picture what I think you are,
perhaps you picture me.
An intriguing game for both of us
for someone we can't see.

So for this friendship we possess,
we owe this mail a debt,
Perhaps the charm lies in the fact
that we have never met.

Well, sharing newslogs could be easier than sharing accounts, which I'm not sure is a good idea. Like, one could configure the newslog so that anybody can post to it. I haven't verified that recently, but that should be possible. fnord

I admit that that 'Post an Entry' link isn't very conspicuous. I should probably think of some more obvious ways of signaling that a newslog is open for posting, as that one often gets missed.
