My gut tells me that 'shekinah' is the feminine attribute of God, which a whole lot of word associations and writings also equate with the 'Holy Spirit'. It seems to me that Kabbalah also equates 'Shekinah' with the feminine? I'm aware that there is an 'unbroken' line of Torah study from ancient times until now, avoiding the problems encountered by Christian era writings which are translations of translations, etc. But, I have this little corner of me which comes up with glosses for Hebrew, Arabic and Aramaic terms of old, which in turn give me the feeling of 'knowing' they are right. This fits in with my knowing my way around town in Cairo, Jerusalem, Rome, Athens, Seville and other places the 'first' time I visit those old cities. So, anyway, 'Glory of God' would also be an acceptable euphemism for 'feminine nature', no? Peace and Love. Merits some serious study I would surmise.
