It shouldn't be all about adults and what they want out of life. Sure, we want everyone, including ourselves to be happy and fulfilled. However, many adults undermine happiness for themselves and their children. They think of themselves first and what the children need, sometimes. I've even seen parents strike and bully their children. Anyway, this is suppose to be a day of celebration for children, but I'll bet they are most happy because school is out and they can have fun playing and getting together with their friends. So, it is nice to have a child day to awaken our population that little people are our treasures. If we truly listened to them, they would teach us how to enjoy our life and relationships. They can bring us to the present moment where we can meet as equals. When did it first occur to parents that they owned their children and could make them into their images simply by withdrawing their love? I wouldn't have known that today was Children's day--thanks, Ed. Happy children's day. I can hardly wait to be with my grandkids next week.
