CRY TERROR
July 11, 2005

It would seem to me, that terrorism isn't so much of a rebellion against authority as perhaps it is more of a reaction or reflex against the insidious and growing impersonalization and depersonalization of society.

It would then seem more of a revolt against a faceless, nameless and seemingly mechanical and uncaring system then it is a strike against the figureheads of that system.

In someways then it is a cry of despair and a call to humanity to reassert and rediscover its human and humane elements and aspects in living. To perhaps take a moment and question a somewhat empty ideology of materialism and consumption.

In retrospect then it seems just so many explosions and cries in a depersonalized, lonely though civilized wilderness/ghetto, for a return to or longing for a deeper and more meaningful Love and more "humane" or mammalian touch.

Perhaps then it is simply the fading bells of human hearts tolling and mourning the loss of a simpler and seemly past time.

Still I should say perhaps that I do not condone these terrorist or "desparate"
acts and deeds, indeed it does shame me of my "human" lineage.
I see them as the immature acts of those who lack the "learning" and paitence that is demanded by the current system in order to get things done.
Is it a flaw of the system then that it does not accomadate or teach all the proper and civilized use of itself? Perhaps. It is a humungous task though to reach and instill in every and all humans the name and way of Love and ...?

But none the less...
They are Human
and
I am human
therefore
I am they
or
we are they.

It comes down to "practicalities"
when people have little or nothing then essentially they have
little to lose and irrationality may simply flow out of that quite easily.
If they have nothin or little then they may simply equate that
their lives themselves are worthless as well.
Don't get me wrong though I am not advocating for materialism
but in accordance to Carl Maslows pyramid of needs , the basic
needs must be met and secured before one moves up on the needs/values
scale and self worth goes along with that.
It is then not suprising given the somewhat primative cave dwelling lifestyle
that some of these people have little or no self worth especially when perhaps there religions seems somewhat contray itself to the physical comforts too. Now don't get me wrong again I am not condoning hedonistic pleasures either yet
the psyche requires some security of existance to establish trust in self the world and others. Therefore you add all that up and it is almost a formula for insanity and terrorism. In fact such a life style seems almost a form of self abuse or torture. I suppose there are the extremes and excesses on either side of the continuum but I guess there has to be a global "transconciliation" to bring the whole of humanity to a more common level of standard and quality of life.
