Interesting, the plane of low tide was set for the USA
at Puget Sound around 1900 and was called
the "HARMONIC OR INDIAN PLANE" and has been changing.
It seems low tide has been getting "lower". I don't know
if that's global or current but probably since the tide is the result of the gravitation of the Sun and moon and yes "rotation" of the Earth so I wonder how this accleration plays into it as the Earths rotation has been slowing because of the tides but has now incrementally sped up due to the tsunami.
Hmmmm If the moon is somehow involved that might explain
some of the physic phenomenum occurring.
