| Xanadu 2012: Justice or Forgiveness? |
Category: Articles 2 comments 4 Aug 2006 @ 17:29 by jobrown : I think, so muchin the Bible has been shortened down as if written in"shorthand" ! This is how I have filled in/to words what I have been "reading between the lines, so to speak, and with this added verbage, "things" make sense to me: The statment: "judge not lest you be judged" when completete would read: Don't ("prejudicially" / pre- emptively) judge someone based on race/ethnicity, gender, 'religion', age etc. Let only a person's own actions ( or lack thereof ) be the base for judgement; did they serve Life in every way possible ( considered the situation) or did someone act taking intentionally advantage of someone/thing else, to get an upper hand, so to speak. Make no mistake; we are NOT meant to let Divine Justice suffer, so that someone can/will and IS taking advantage of mis-interpreted "Holy Scriptures" when indeed the Holy Scriptures HAVE been TWISTED INTENTIONALLY to SUPPORT the Oppressors and their SELFISHNESS ; the ONLY TRUE AGENDA they have. All other so called "Causes" -or ideologies (; be they 'religious' in nature, or political), are indeed COVER-UPS for this very factual truth/truthful fact! ) "yet when is there the season of justice as opposed to the season of forgiveness? What determines whether to ajudge or when to forgive...." I believe the season for forgiveness is whenever we have been hot down to the ground by someone's unfairness towards us, to move on with our life and LET GO of the unfair event when the sun goes down, so that we can wake up next morning to a New Day/Life WITHOUT RECENTMENT to what blow was directed to us yesterday. Recentment HOLDS us BACK IN Yesterday!.... meaning; WE can't move forward, while our Oppressors go happily to the next one to victimize them!.... Only by letting go of recentment, as in vengence/"getting even"/ declare war on these people, but instead we make clear to them, that we are NOT their punching bag and we will not be there for them to go on with delivering their evil on us. This we have to do, I think. Swanny, I think this above way of (my) looking at things "takes care" of your next Ponderings: " What determines whether to ajudge or when to forgive.... can one forgive to much? can one judge to much?" Once I know "how" to distinguish judgement (the way I describe here) I don't believe we can't judge too much, becose it is a situation and "What" (action/lack thereof )that we judge -not people based on --- (see comment)plus 'judgement'(the way I see it) really is an extention of/to discernment; the ability to see where something is headed, so to speak, while judgment is to draw the conclusion that that thing indeed did happen -and whether it is worth to replicate (in future). I see Judgement completely different from condemnation of a person on wrong premises; ones own prejudice. Hence; I personally can't see how one could judge too much - or on the other hand; forgive too much -letting go of yesterday-events, whose memory doesn't serve us anymore! This subject can not be discussed too much, I would say! 4 Aug 2006 @ 19:55 by swanny : Thanks Blue Thanks blue for the eucidation of these things Yes much has been upsurped in the name of this and that and we have to get back to the "clear" fundementals".... forgiveness should not be others cart blanche to do anything they wish or choose... maybe only when others sincerely seek forgiveness and appreciate there errors should it be freely given. And for justice ...justice should show mercy too from time to time, to prove itself worthy of its station all this requires discernment and insight and wisdom swanny Other entries in Articles 23 Aug 2022 @ 09:55: Gravity battery ref 23 Aug 2022 @ 09:53: Gravity battery ???. 2 May 2022 @ 06:45: How to Get Quality Dofollow Backlinks 23 Nov 2021 @ 18:26: What is Linkbuilding 25 Jun 2021 @ 15:37: Longitude at sea? 24 Aug 2020 @ 12:42: Climate and ocean 24 Aug 2020 @ 12:37: Climate update Aug 2020 15 Mar 2020 @ 19:11: Hang in.. 29 Jul 2019 @ 16:12: Onward 28 Feb 2019 @ 14:41: Solar Neighborhood pic
