I find it harder and harder to do each year, as there seems to be less and less to give away or toss, but it has in a way made room for more things to come my way. Sometimes it's not immediate and you may not notice it until after you look back on your next "dove day", reflecting on what new may have come your way. You also grew your local economy a little by doing it, because its like putting the money into a business rather than a matress, that guy will make a buck, the people he sells to will have a little less inflation in their lives, and yes sooner or later you will feel a bit of that coming your way. So I'd say relax and forget about looking for the dividend for a while, and then someday, you'll look back and remember that day, and see the results. 16 Sep 2006 @ 21:17 by jobrown : Dear Ed and jmarc, I find it to be HAPPY moments whenever I can "give away" something -which to me really is a question of ridding me of Stuff that RULES me, binding me to a lifestyle I wouldn't choose at this point of my life IF it wasnt that when Things are around I feel "obligated" to put them into use - why else do I have them, huh?... these sort of feelings/thoughts go through me UNTIL I ridd myself of them. Now those Things don't rule me any longer and might even benefit the new owner! I am working on making it to a very conscious process, where the Things I have, are in my life to support my (chosen) life at any given moment. If the Things start ruling me/my life, I'd better pass them on! I'd never thought of the Local Economy aspect! Thanks for that angle to look at things! But whenever I buy Things, I try very diligently to only buy from small LOCAL "family"-businesses instead of corporate-owned Big Businesses. That also helps keeping the money within the Community. "Dove Day". That's cute! : ) 16 Sep 2006 @ 21:31 by swanny : thankyou well thanks you two... yes growing the local economy very good angle and most true... what goes around comes around.... ed Other entries in Articles 23 Aug 2022 @ 09:55: Gravity battery ref 23 Aug 2022 @ 09:53: Gravity battery ???. 2 May 2022 @ 06:45: How to Get Quality Dofollow Backlinks 23 Nov 2021 @ 18:26: What is Linkbuilding 25 Jun 2021 @ 15:37: Longitude at sea? 24 Aug 2020 @ 12:42: Climate and ocean 24 Aug 2020 @ 12:37: Climate update Aug 2020 15 Mar 2020 @ 19:11: Hang in.. 29 Jul 2019 @ 16:12: Onward 28 Feb 2019 @ 14:41: Solar Neighborhood pic
