It takes simplicity to pierce obscurity. And so it is that with new psychiatric knowledge we are able to "see through" President Bush's obsession with trying to "change" the whole world.
Bush's "madness" is influenced by two things.
First, Fundamental Christianity---whose adherents believe that the world will surely come to an end because Bible prophesy says so, and that every word in the Bible should be taken literally.
Second, the egophrenic paradigm--- which maintains that Bush is an unwitting victim of a psycho-spiritual disease of the soul that is endemic to our culture and our times.
That the Fundamentalists continue to support Bush despite his disastrous policy failures, should come as no surprise. After all, his blatant misstatements, erroneous decisions, and harmful decrees--- which are endangering the world and the citizens of America---can only be inviting the "end times" to arrive earlier. Why wouldn't the Fundamental Christians support that?
Bush's mental illness, however, is a different matter. Journalist Charlie Reese says that Bush has "slipped his moorings", but it is much more serious than that.
Paul Levy a spiritual teacher and healer, whose analysis of Bush's egophrenic sickness (Levy's phrase)---lauded by Dr. Carol S. Wolman, Board Certified in Psychiatry---describes it in a comprehensive manner.
Levy states that Bush is not insane in the clinical sense of the word: he can sound coherent and appear like a "regular" normal guy. But unconscious denial of reality and cover-ups are clear manifestations of the illness, and like a contagious disease, the people who support, or surround Bush, are actually complicit with him, enabling and protecting his pathology.
"Bush, however, doesn't suspect a thing", says Levy. "In his delusion, he imagines that he is divinely inspired. Bush supporters want to believe this to feed their own adolescent fantasy of wanting a divinely inspired leader to care for them and take care of them.
"A person in a position of power, like Bush, who has become dissociated from reality, runs the grave risk of believing he has a Messianic mission, and forces tyrannous doctrines upon his fellow-beings. He believes that any action he takes is justified in the name of God--- as he can rationalize it as being God's will. Being unable to self-reflect, he is convinced of the rightness of his viewpoint, which he considers non-negotiable."
It doesn't take a mensa IQ to see that this is an extremely dangerous situation we are in. Bush's position of power, with the support of the religious right, actually helps create the very Armageddon that the Apocalypse prophesies The more Bush brings death and destruction to the world the more it confirms to his supporters the "truth" that their deluded, end-times scenario is a predestined conclusion.
There are many more bizarre aspects of Bush's "madness" which would take several more pages to explain. Suffice to say that we have a very mentally-ill president who, in his high position, has the power to destroy America, and perhaps much of the world. And unless we confront him with his illness, and demand a change in administration leadership, we are not being true to ourselves, our Constitution, or our country.

In his article, "Bush the Pitiful", Paul Craig Roberts, syndicated columnist and Asst. Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan administration, tells us that Americans are starting to "feel sorry" for President Bush. And well they should.
If you read Part I of my "Fundamentally Bush" articles you may recall how Paul Levy, a renowned spiritualist and teacher, introduced the theory that George W. Bush, with his dangerous obsession for "saving" the world, suffers from a serious mental illness called: egophrenia.
Part I explained that a concomitant element of Bush's disease is that in his delusional state he imagines that God has spoken to him; told him to attack Iraq, and then lead a crusade to free the entire Middle East from its oppressive rulers.
This foreign policy, however bungled it may be, put the Fundamental Christians, who take the Bible literally--- including prophesies of the "end times"---solidly in the Bush camp. But in Part II we will not deal so much with Bush's religious delusions but will explore further the dark and devious workings of this malignant mental disease, which, unbeknownst to Bush himself, has taken possession of the President's rational faculties.
As Levy makes clear, egophrenia is not unique to some people, at some time, or in some places. Just the opposite. It is as old as the First Sin or the Big Lie and therefore pervades the soul of all humanity and is a potential in all of us; a "collective psychosis", if you will. In this life most human beings are consciously able to control it. If however, as Levy contends, "egophrenia goes unrecognized and is not contained, it can be very destructive, particularly if the person is in a position of power."
Enter President George W. Bush.
How may we observe and recognize this psycho-spiritual disease of the soul that has President Bush in its grasp? Several ways, some blatantly evident, and some---because Bush is not insane in a clinical sense-are more difficult to recognize.
The difficult to "see" evidence includes his "regular good guy" manner and speech which he can turn on when the occasion demands it. More "hidden" evidence that Bush is a victim of this mental illness is that he himself doesn't even suspect he has it. Or rather, that it has him.
The more obvious evidence that Bush is an unwitting victim of egophrenia are legion.
Here are just a few of the danger signs of his delusion: Bush's belief that he is divinely inspired and, as such, his actions and decisions are always right and thus non-negotiable; that he brooks no opinions counter to his and that dissent of any kind is unpatriotic and thus suspect; that he is incapable of error and that his mistakes are always someone else's fault; that he is in denial of reality, resists self-reflection at all cost because it may reveal something that he wants to be but knows he is not; that he fantasizes enemies without, but cannot "see" the enemy "within"; that he continues to see Iraq as "being central to the ideological struggle of the 21st century, even though five years of fighting in Iraq has netted us little; that he has us fighting a global on "war on terrorism", unable to comprehend that terrorism is a tactic not an enemy, and winning a war against a tactic is logically impossible; that the "hellishness" of his disease makes him intransigent, arrogant, tyrannical and dictatorial.
Is there any hope for America? Yes, but not while we have a mentally ill president. Is there any hope for Bush? Yes, but not while he is advised, coached, and surrounded by people in and outside the White House who, to further their own agendas, enable and support Bush's mental sickness.
So is it any wonder that people are beginning to feel sorry for President Bush in his mental condition. I do too, but I feel much sorrier for what his sickness is doing to this nation.

Bush is by no means the first or only guy suffering from this serious Spiritual delusion. ALL 'Rulers" of this caliber through ages have suffered from it! All Spiritual States are very contageous. This Mental illness has now seeped down , and infected ALL strata of Society, with a lot of (private, non-famous) people infected. They are called 'Bullies" in the Society's Everyday life, and are very devastating for their environment/other people -where ever they are! But I do not for one moment give them credence in being "incurable", since WALKING away from these people, leaving them to their own demise, ALWAYS works! The boy crying Wolf.... When finally people see the TRUTH about his little "I demand-your-Attention-NOW"-Game and decide to walk away, he gets up and runs after them, wondering why they walked away!...and then just walks in their tail, as if nothing had happened! Consequently the ANTIDOT on ANY level of interaction with these people is: SEE the TRUTH about their Attention Seeking ( among other things they try to accomplish with their Games ). Understand their "rules" and learn to determine their Modus Operanda ( called "MO." in many literary, academic and psychology circles) and its revolution (; behaviour coming full circle, and then starts the repeat of the same pattern -- sure as Clockwork!) Once this is all clear to you, lay out the TRUTH about their "illness"-scam and then just walk away.
This is where The Peoples of so many Nations are right now: ALL need to expose the Game played in their Country (with all the Old LIES, Atrocities taken into daylight for questioning/ put into the Scales of Justice -to GET some justice for All!, etc ) The brighter and broader the Spotlight becomes, the better for the Peoples of the whole Planet! Once some -sufficient- measure of Justice is achieved, we just have to "walk away" from the little "Cry Wolf" bratts, be they Bush or any other political "leader", so called royalty, or your family member, who has been torturing your family as long as you can remember, or any other member in your community circle, in your Church, or... well, you the pic. eh?

Either we all help doing this -or the bullies WILL take the last bit of Life from us. They already have soiled the Earth with so much innocent blood. Our Human History is written with Blood as Ink! It has NEVER been the Emotionally/Spiritually healthy, Life and Peace loving people who broght devastation, mayhem murder and ( other/all kinds of ) destruction to the rest, but the Bullies, from time immemorial!
While we are working at this, we must at the same time get deeper into the new Cosmic Scheme of Events, coming our way. We need to prepare ourselves as well as our Environment, Society, the Earth etc, to create 'Space' for the New (life) that, we so much desire and have been waiting forso long!
Do not think that for instance Adi's or Brenda's (plus many other friends, writing about -so called- Spiritual aspects of coming times) articles are just "Airy Fairy New Age-Stuff" . They are NOT! There's a lot to them, even if not 100%,that we all should heed! Even if only 10 % of their presented Things will come to pass, or could come to pass, if we've done our paert correctly, these will be Life-on-Earth-altering events! ALL FOR THE BETTER!... to the degree we have deserved -and aligned ourselves to receive!

his mental illness. I've spent much of my professional life working with this population, but he is one of the most dangerous persons on our planet for sure. By far, most persons with mental illness are not dangerous and are not in a position to harm others and our planet. However, Bush and other religious zealots who hold positions of power and authority attract followers who are also out-of-balance and suffering from lack of awareness or mindfulness.
Thanks, Astrid. Let's 'get out the vote' and hope that we can put and end to this madness.

Well not to slight but I would both agree and disagree
with the anaylisis. What we would have here is not illness
but "deficiency". It is perhaps because a lack of "evolutionary"
development that certain or many people lack the ability or
capacity to hmmmmm? concieve or "appreciate" certain somewhat virtual
or less real info. They are less sensitive and because what they can't
"sense" or proove therefore is not real. Yet the problem is that to
discount that which one or others cannot proove, sense or "grasp" is
somewhat discriminatory in itself, reality seeming to be somewhat of
a "democratic" exercise.
Hmmmm so whats the comprimise or solution?
Whats the reconciliation?
We can't have presidents seeing pink elephants can we?
or pointing guns at innocent people?
hmmmmm
well now I'm confused again....

Yeaah, I think Dr Levyy did a "pretty good job" in analysing Bush's "predicament".
Luckily the subject matter of the Bully-personality is now in the open and even support groups for their victims (most commonly for victims at Work-Places) are a more common thing today, than ever before!
Up till just a few years ago the bullies reigned supreme, covering up their stupidity ( = closed-mindedness ) with all kinds of "fancy" "ideologies" / "religions" & other entitleing nonsence!
The little bully-boy in the sandbox, torturing the other kids throwing sand in their face,"coz his Dad is a Pilot".... That's a classic,eh? When these kids grow up, coming from CONTROL-HUNGRY Homes/Families, they throw MISSILES ( and such )on their peers... SIMPLY coz they are in a position to do so -and it numbs the pain in their secretly aching Hearts!
Montague is a great Teacher, together with some other wonderful 'guys') on this subject, as you too have discovered! ( You're my kind of guy, Jerry! THANKS! : ) )))
Swanny, Swanny.... : ) Yes, you do have a point: it IS a deficiency of LOVE (unconditional Acceptance by your Parents/Caretakers) when 'you' were an Infant and from there on it goes from bad to worse!... teaching 'you' nothing but how to be phony and a controller of everybody else -exept 'your'/self/'your' own Life! Sad, sad, sad!
It is also an ILLNESS in the sense that it IS an ( over-)load of TOXIC FEELINFGS!!!
Whenever we are ( over-)intoxed, be phsysilogically or emtionally ( = "Spiritually" ) our whole Being is "out-of-whack" and eventually our built-in cleansing/healing mechanism brakes down -and now we have an "Illness" to deal with!
So, let's all get clear about this whole Life-Thing: FIRST & foremost our IDENTITY should be: we are Humans, made by ONE and the same CREATOR of ALL Humans -and of ALL OTHER LIFE FORMS as well, for that matter! The Creator LOVES = ACCEPTS its own Creation! ALL OF IT!!! ONLY the Created can with/by his/her/its actions etc separate themselves from their Creator, hence seriously slow down, block -and even stop- the flow of fresh LIFE-Energy, which then has to be received from SOMEWHERE(else; another Living Being -including Mother Earth, since ALL Creation is what in the physiscs is called "A Communicating Vessel" ( an old fashioned Coffee Pot is a perfect example of that: The water in the Pot EQUALIZES itself in the Spout to the same level as in the Pot! )
So; the Energies in the Collective of -not just us Humans, but -ALL LIFE Forms- EQUALIZES to the same level!
The lowest Common Denominator of our shared frequency is very low now. Lower than it has ever been, and getting lower by the day -due to all the wars & other mayhem the perpetrators of Evil are forcing upon Humankind daily, whose lives are hitting all time low: Apathy! ( read: "Power vs Force" by David Hawkins -as well as his other books! Excellent New Understanding, though one might question his methods... But we have start somewhere, eh? -and his groundbraking work is as good as any!)
Because of this onslaught of extreamly low frequencies, ALL Life on the Planet is in real danger! We need to balance them -or better yet raise them- to the level where the evil looses its MOMENTUM! This is the task nr ONE, right now! WHO did what, is indeed secondary to this 'WHAT' is being done! The Cosmic PHYSICS is IMPERSONAL and doesn't give a huuuut what Socio-religous or otherwice-political group is putting out into motion these energy-processes. THAT it is being done is the BIG THING and the dangerous!
We can no longer afford to allow anybody/any group to wave their flag of suprmacy -not even under the guise of "Mankinds eternal victims". That time is over -for all victims, real or fabricated! We are down to REALITY CHECK now! It is Swim -or sink - time now! FOR ALL, who love Life at all.

"eternal victimhood" of the bully personality is one of their absolute Trademarks; copy-right'ing their arrogance, cruelty, selfproclaimed entitlement and supremacy over all others around them... elevating only THEM to some un-attainable Heights of Divinity! ALL serious bullies suffer from this.
Each have their own Special version of it, that makes them instantly identified by their -Officially Accepted Victimhood/Victim-Status - (usually carried by these people with a sorbid Pride as if it was Batch of Honour/Great Achievement of sorts!... We all met the people whose greatest thing in life is THEIR Illness: "MY Diabetes...." ,"MY heart attack..." , " or the guy who braggs how terribly drunk he got last night... and all the shit that followed -as if it was something that really makes him to a REAL MAN!... this all is meant to ) making up their identity. Hence I call it their "Trademark".
Georg W's is as follows: "... the really weird thing is his (Bush's) sense of victimization. He's strangely resentful about the actual core of his job. Even after the debacles of Iraq and Katrina, he continues to treat the presidency as a colossal interference with his desire to mountain bike and clear brush."
