Sorry to ramble on here this morning but had
a rather odd dream.
I seemed to be in a parallel universe of somekind.
It was kind of like Don Juans finding ones hands
in their dream. I was simulataneously awake
and dreaming at virtually the same time or dead
and alive sort of simulaneously and I was getting
"married" or graduating or something...
at one point I roused up and if I open my eyes
I was in one place and closing my eyes I was somewhere
else.
I could seem thus to change dimensions or universes
at will or as Don Juan illuded be in the dreaming body
and the real body at will.
well eventually I just got up and closing my eyes now gives
the normal state but I don't know ....this was about
2 or 3 this morning...
can't recall much else although there seemed to be a lot
more to it at the time.

I used to do alot of this, you are awake in the dream, in other words, you know you are asleep but dreaming the 'reality' you are in. If it interests you, there are practices used that help to initiate these dreams. Did you wake up feeling tired? Eventually you'll be able to recognize when you have one of these, looking at your hands, as you mentioned, is one way to 'ground' yourself in the dream so you don't awaken when you realize you're dreaming.

I found doing lucid dreaming useful in understanding how close to dreaming this waking awareness really is. I started looking at the things happening in everyday life the same way as I might if I were doing dream analysis. Guess what? It is all a dream, AND, there's no way out, LOL!!

For instance, a suicide would find themselves saved and recovered in a world very much like the one they thought they were escaping, with the same problems to overcome, maybe even more difficult now because of the action taken to escape. Interdimensionality is where we live and don't even know it. It looks like we're in it together and we are, but we're also in our own private dimension too. Hard to explain, easier to realize.

We constantly create with our thoughts and feelings and beliefs, we do it collectively as well as individually. That's why it's so important we create a good dream instead of the nightmare one we are looking at in the world today.

Yes I am feelin quite tired
It does seem to take a lot of energy out of one.

something like one of the characters in 'The Dark Crystal' after they'd been placed in the machine to suction out their 'vitality'; a bit fried and a bit blank.. That's one reason I stopped going there. ;)
