Xanadu 2012: Abuse is not "Fun"

Abuse is not "Fun".

In any so called civilized society, the people and environment it seems, as an apparent and

proven "fact" can only take being abused, manipulated and extorted by the market forces,

greed and excess for so long. How long? It depends. Twenty years? Thirty years? One hundred

years? Then at some juncture, if the state or some means of redress does not take action to

protect the people and or environment from their abusers, is revolution, anarchy or some

form of dissent or change not to be expected? Why though does society not understand and

learn this lesson and allows and even sanctions abuse sometimes, of the free and honest

peoples and of the good and fertile lands. Perhaps because the faces and names keep changing

and thus the accountability and cost is continually shifted and seemingly lost? Perpetually

though unless the vicious cycle of this abuse and such is broken or transcended somehow the

social fabric periodically and continually seems to unwind, as abuse is not fun.
Therefore it is said that let us not abuse one and other or our selves or the animals,

plants, land, air, waters or planet, for to do so would be folly and has proven to be

foolish, criminal and just plain stupid. Instead let us consider and treat one and others

and all as truly holy places. This asks a lot perhaps but it is a necessary truth.

Justice is not winning... not the same animal

Justice is Justice

"All we are saying...
Is give justice a chance...
All we are saying
Is give justice a chance."

17 Mar 2007 @ 13:50 by jmarc : It usually falls on the abused
to break the cycle, to take that extra step when they gain the power, to break the cycle. It seems counter intuitive, but usually it's the only way for the cycle to be broken. Turning the other cheek can often just result in another slap, and be perceived as weakness, and the abused often want to turn the tables, but, as we can see, that leads no where.

17 Mar 2007 @ 19:38 by hgoodgame : Once you get past
the 'ain't it awful' programming, you may want to actually do something to improve your situation. And it isn't by turning the tables, as Jmarc noted..

There are tried and proved techniques out there that will change how you perceive (and receive as a result) the world around you.

The power of positive thinking isn't just pie in the sky.

17 Mar 2007 @ 22:40 by swanny : Whats your point?
Hmmm if you have a point why don't you come out and make and not beat around the bush. You may see this as "ain't it awful" programming but I don't see it that way
you and other may see me as "repeating myself" but good things are worth repeating. I never found a tinkers damn of good in positive thinking of real effect. It is pie in the sky and glib magical thinking. Now constructive thinking you might have have a point but positive....???? balder dash. Why does the majority assume theyre right ....??? ah yes comfort in numbers....
the democratic imperative.... but I was talking about justice not democracy.

17 Mar 2007 @ 23:59 by hgoodgame : As long as you believe
there ain't nothing to it, then that's exactly what you get. As the universe would say, 'Your wish is my command'.

Good things?

My point (reminds me of the movie, 'The Point', where's your point?) is that's where we got lost, fighting terrorism, fighting war, etc. Mother Theresa had the right idea. She was invited to an anti-war rally and she said no thank you, but if you ever hold a peace rally, invite me.

This is a multidimensional place and where you place your energy is what you empower. When you get worked up over 'issues' you are empowering them. Thus, whether you are for something or against it, you empower it. You choose. And the more emotional you become about, the greater the power you give to it.

It takes more than merely thinking positive, it takes action in that direction.

18 Mar 2007 @ 00:17 by swanny : Well we agree...
well we seem to agree yet we seem to have a different understanding of the same thing which is strange perhaps but okay .... I suppose perfect agreement and or perfect understanding is probably rare....

"Don't ask whose side God is on...be on Gods side"
A bad recall of an Abe Lincoln quote (sorry memories goin sir ed)

18 Mar 2007 @ 06:14 by hgoodgame : Yes well words..
can lead to more confusion than clarity, especially when speaking of concepts transcending language. I'm sure if we were to sit down and discuss these ideas, we'd find we're not so far apart in our awareness. Different understandings, may be only appear that way on the surface until I say 'what do you mean by that.' Oh yeah, that's what I mean too. ;)

The time has come for us each as individuals to examine our thoughts and feelings and see if they are coming from a space of love or a space of fear. Fear separates us and love unites us. Hehe.. NO FEAR!!

Interesting, I heard the other day and it made sense, that the opposite of love is not hate, it's apathy.

That gets me too, like a consciousness so expanded as to be considered Supreme, beyond concepts of duality, right and wrong, in other words conceptualizes all that is as being parts on one whole, why would such a consciousness take sides, eh?

18 Mar 2007 @ 10:59 by swanny : Yes words
yes words troublesome things as any good lawyer could tell us but even lawyers are at a loss as to how to go beyond them. I once felt it would be necessary to create new ones to adequately explain things and then there the trouble of them having the possibility of two or three or four meanings and context and circumstance and then the problem of "meaning" it self and perhaps the degrees of meaning and emphasis... ah the complexities of it when it should be so simple. The simplicity is lost though it seems by agendas and fears and apathys as you say...The buddha got around that when asked what is enlightenment by showing a flower and smiling or "beaming". Maybe thats it show don't say. I tried that at one site by trying to talk in images but people or some people couldn't fathom it. A new language ???? sort of words and images... there was one site where this guy got it it was a simple language of words and pictures alas the site died though a horrible death not sure why but I will always remember that "picture" talk.... it was so....????? clear.

18 Mar 2007 @ 18:16 by swanny : Ahhh Johnny...
John Lennon.... saves the day...
link = http://www.johnlennon.com/html/news.aspx

"Imagine theres no heaven..."
John Lennon song "imagine" 1980s?

why because then there'd also be no hell

sir ed

19 Mar 2007 @ 21:39 by hgoodgame : Serendipity!
I had thought of that same song as a result of our conversation in here. Imagine all the people, living life in peace. ;)

19 Mar 2007 @ 22:04 by swanny : Free as a Bird...
there was a rumor after Johns death started or noticed by his first wife. She suspected that John had come back as a bird as there was this bird after the time that seemed to be connecting with her on her windowsill I guess in england . I guess that was cynthia? but anyway it seemed it never got much press but some how it came to me....

"Black bird fly into the light of deep dark night"
Black bird singing in the dead of night
take these broken wings and learn to fly
all your life ....
you were only waiting for this moment to arrive".

Blackbird the white album the beatles 1968 AD

19 Mar 2007 @ 22:26 by bushman : Hmm,
and you know, that the only way that song will ever come to pass, is if 90% of the worlds population, was extrminated. I always say, be carfull of what you wish for. :}

20 Mar 2007 @ 02:43 by hgoodgame : I don't agree with you there Bushman,
The way it will happen is when enough people awaken, then we'll have what's known as a hundredth monkey effect. The collective unconscience will carry the info and all who can handle the energy will wake up automatically. I'd have to add to what you said, be careful what you believe in because that's the world you're creating for yourself.
♪Got to believe we are magic, nothing can stand in our way♫

♫Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see♪..

I had a dream many many years ago after his death in which John Lennon came to me and sang a missing portion of the song 'Once There Was A Way'..
to get back homeward.

The missing lyrics, which comes right after the first part, just for you sir swan:
Rhymes with the first section but goes like this~
Recognize that day is almost over,
recognize the day is nearly gone..
sleep pretty darling do not cry
and I will sing a lullaby-ee.
There was more to the dream but that's enough for now. ;)
