MUTUAL FORGIVENESS

We live in complex times. We are quick it seems to judge and condemn when in fact most or all of us have our own misgivings. How then is it to grant forgiveness and yet not seek it for ourselves as well. Our hypocrisies afterall, whether conscious or unconscious stare us in the face, each time we gaze in the mirror. Why? Because it is difficult to live without some degree of hypocrisy in such a complex world. We either face that or deny our inherant contradictions.
We have all at times been required to forfeit truth to save our own skin and or the skin of another and or others. Such are the demands of complex living. Lie or die. It is not easy then to care or to be green though it is the right thing to do but who of us is perfect.
Therefore enter mutual forgiveness. We must endevour to clear the slate, all of us being sinners perhaps past the age of 2. So I ask please forgive me as I forgive you and in this mutual forgiveness let us find a better place and be better peoples and humans.
For the golden rule... is chiefly and in essence a testament of mutual forgiveness.

the difference between judgment and condemnation is a GOOD Thing, I think. To me "Judgment" is one of my/our God-given Life - Skills,( very closely related ) to discernment. Hence Life supporting.Judgment one should use for deciding involvement with something -or not; kinda a gutt-feeling tool.
Condemnation we use to oust others from our life when we didn't use Love & Light to release. I think we should release everything and everyone every night; into love & light, to their Highest Good.... including ourselves. To do this is (good) JUDGMENT. When this is done, condemnation cease to exist!

That's a nice assessment, Astrid. I do think there is a subtle difference between judgement and discernment though. Discernment is more about seeing what's right or wrong for you, judgement decides what's right or wrong for others. Condemnation yes, it is about condemning, ie: damning others. Thus the 'golden rule' is to judge not, lest ye yourself be judged. Rightly so. And guess who'll judge you? You yourself will, based on your judgement of others. Ever read 'The Penal Colony' by Kafka? Therefore I encourage you to bless all beings thus you yourself will be blessed. ;)
Thanks Swanny, for reminding us about true forgiveness. It cuts across all boards. If not now, when, if not me, who?
Namaste.
