June 2007 Red Deer Alta Canada Report

well where to I start...

Had a tornado north of here in Edmonton in July of 1986

Then one in Pine Lake a few miles south in August of 2000 or so

and then just a few days ago a little tornado in Stony Plain up North again but in June?

Had a major flood in Red Deer 10 years or so ago

and then a 1 in 100 year flood in June of 2005

then we had a late snow in 1998 which pruned and toppled a lot of trees

then we had the same thing again just last month in may which did the same
as well as cut power lines and blow transformers.

then yesterday we had an odd weather sandwich as one tv reporter called it
were we were in the middle of a slowly rotating system between a northern cold front and a southern warm front which lasted about 6 hours till the cold front finally prevailed. This system spawned the tornado and flooding in the north and flooding in the south. Rivers are a high capacity but we here seem to be somewhat insulated from the extremes.

then they had a frost warning just last night 100 miles north of us in edmonton.

so what does it mean....?

well seems like jove or thor are workin at capacity with there weather tricks.

one summer in June of 2003 we had a thunderbold hit a historic building east of here
it caught fire and the roof was destroyed
Me and my parents were here at my place when it struck and we thought it was just next door but it hit about 15 blocks east at that building on top of the hill.

so the ride begins or began I guess back in 1986...

and were still here so

so far so good....
