THE NEW HUMANITY

Well it seems building the New Civilization didn't quite work or? but why
Why? Well new civilization but old humanity equals same ol same ol.
It seems building the new civ then didn't go deep enough to the root of the problem which is thus humanity and human nature.

But then how do you build or change or improve humanity and human nature?
Ah that is the question. I suppose you start with the young-ins and education and whatever that shape the human form.

I think Abraham Maslow was the right track by not concerning himself with disease and what was wrong with us but what is right with us and our peak experiences and his needs hierarchy. Along with the work of Focusing by Eugene T Gendlin and perhaps the work of Simply Sane by Rollo Mays brother? Gerald May. At least these are part of the path i ascribed to which led me to be 52 and alive today. I think though we lost sight of their wisdom and simplicity and should perhaps attempt to prune ourselves back to it. Also in there is the work of Fritz Perls and Gestalt Therapy.

But alas I am to old to do now and perhaps even to old to teach but here is the road of my journey as found in the works of these old authors and i wish us success then in creating the new humanity and the civilization that will arise of it for therein I feel it lies awaiting its birth.

To the new humanity then

I think you are right - "the root of the problem which is thus humanity and human nature."

We didn't come with an instruction manual and we are very complicated creatures all with our own distinct viewpoints and dealing with all the thoughts and feelings that being human entails.....good job no one asked me at the design stage for humanity, I would have said 'nice idea, but it will never work' :-)

with the Instruction manual!.... It is called CONSCIENCE!...Now.... how that conscience is ripped away from each & everyone of us. How & why this not letting us be the way we were when we arrived: 100% divine and hence one hundred attuned to the Divine.... can be discussed... There are some facts we do know (about he Human nature....Our NATURE IS the DIVINE in us.it is the NURTURE-ASPECT, that has FAILED/S Humanity every time... destroying our true Nature.
The ALLEGORY for this is the story about Cain & Abel... That -too- got perverted to Nth degree!... ( but perverted to Nth degree!...to make all the to UNTOUCHABLES regardelss what crimes they commit!... "God" protecting HIM/--ALL the "Cain"/s out there) before and over the Innocents!... now that's a neat and handy twist to an Allegory made to a paramont "COSMIC" LAW )( The story about Santa Claus is the allegory for generosity... and all the rest of Alllegories out there. )

are then elements thus of a new humanity to be found in the past....
what were some desireable elements of the new humanity that existed in the past
any thoughts.... well michangelo and leonardo and the Renaissance come to mind
and findhorn of the seventies and greece of the beginning
and perhaps the american frontier to some degree and??????

see these could be elements of New shambhala what is what I am calling the civilization of the new humanity....

I'd say there are two essential reasons why there's no such thing as a "New Civlization". Both of these are social/cultural, and have little to do with innate human nature.

The first is a world-wide, cultural lack of respect for the truth. The truth is seen by most modern humans as the LAST thing they would ever want to hear, let alone deal with competantly.

The second is simply a lack of questioning...resulting in the lack of rejecting that which is false in favor of that which is both real and useful. Basically, you can't start something new until you acknowledge, fully and honestly, that what is old doesn't work, never did work and never will work.

Until these prerequisites are met, the old "civlization" will stagger on until the day comes that it will simply implode from internal rot, and the lack of the ability of the environment to support it.
