Well I reckon them students have a point or a just beef, as I'd probably protest too I suppose if i were young and foolish and just being taught how to be old and mean and foolish and how to pay for and go into huge debt learning how to trash the planet and society and the economy, with no guarantee of a job after learning such BS.
But then again what feasible alternative do they the students have other than to higher madness or learning?, well yea there's Findhorn and GEN but that's not everyone's cup of tea and a lot of folks seem to like senseless violence and destruction as their life's calling . see student riots as case in point of alternative to humanitarian self destruction. Way to show us how its done students but that's what you're here to learn i suppose.

Good point there..cause the money the students are paying for their education, ie tuition, doesn't count cause its not theirs but their parents or the systems, except that they, the students have to pay it back, for the privilege of them being whacked over the head with sticks and koans and true too, their natural interests, curious, idealism, thirst for knowledge, really caring about others and nature and the world and the ideas their teachers steal as their own, don't count either causes that sort of sentimentality has no standing in courts of law, so you're right, they're just basically a bunch of dumb sticks in need of a good whacking except hold on now , whats that i see in their lunch bags???? is that a Twinkies? well well, there you go, there's your bargaining chip students.
But I think people have to understand the true nature of education, it is not so much about learning new things or buying a degree but to bring some kind of standards and order, to all the knowledge of the fields out there. But when you got biz admin teaching that shareholders are more important than the customer and you got physics teaching that a finite world and biocapacity can sustain unlimited growth and economics teachings that the environment is just a subset of the economy and markets teaching that high real estate profits jive with high interest rates and lower inflation rates and wages, well that just doesn't add up, so the students may be dumb but they know know enough perhaps that they're being billed for a load of hooey and given no choice but to withhold their pay to the teachers who are their employees but biz should chip in to train their future worker
