Category: Articles 4 comments 25 Jul 2012 @ 16:33 by swanny @207.34.102.16 : guns and logicre: Guns and logic i suppose the issue of gun ownership is an emotional one and not a rational one..... as logic would say that if something or its abuse is a problem then more of the same will just probably or will increase the problem not reduce it..... ie if 2 guns or their use or abuse causes problems then mathematically 4 guns would produce twice as many problems.......... its even transcends logic and reason and is just plain pure arithmetic... seems to strike at the same logic or perverted passions of the arms race of the 1980s were humanity had enough nukes to kill every person on the planet 50 times over..... but i suppose the appeal to reason is not likely to succeed in such emotional decisions or debates ..perhaps people just want a gun so they can be more likely of success of killing themselves in suicide attempts..... yay go testosterone go..... you da man.... make my day.... etc etc. well ..... perhaps the only way to settle it is with a duel a 20 paces.... Accidents happen, you would have them take away nature since it kills far more people than guns. And then you whine about cars and they kill more people than guns. Then you whine about over population. Yet even with all the killing happening every second of every day, and the population still rises.
