Re: Awareness: Why did life begin? Well life probably began more or less spontaneously and existed for quite awhile before it was even aware of itself, so then the question is more, why did awareness begin?

Awareness probably developed or occurred and facilitated greater survival and adaptation upon the aware creatures, ie those that were more aware increased their rate of survival and adaption, this was probably on a local basis at first and then with humans has extended with the flight, radio and the internet to a new kind of awareness. "Global Awareness".
