When my youngest was around 4 or 5 he simply... was too cute to have those lush curls... lol

Locks of Sun


I cut my wee boy’s curls today.
They were like wisps of spinning gold.


It was a long fought battle won,
To shear at last those locks of sun.

But you see he’d gotten much to old,
Though having curls was oh so fun.

Even though he was wild and bold,
“What a cute girl!” he was often told.

Me of the angels they would draw in the frescoes and carve in sculptures.

even at 8. He is also my brain...very smart. He is affectionate... always giving his mum hugs and kisses...

This poem reminds me of my own son. I use to cut his hair myself when he was just a wee lad. His hair was curly and have saved many a golden locks. Love this poem. ty for sharing.
