Lead Me

When I tire of life you hold the light aloft
My meanderings in the darkness do not daunt you
Your calling voice leads me to a warmer place

Where I am, it seems so cold, so uninviting
Let me come to the fire, you are the warmth
Hold me close in your enveloping arms

If I give you my heart, will you hold it gently?
I am not sure I could bear the cold winds
For my strength is not sufficient anymore

In the silence our breathing slows evenly
Our energies rise and fall like a nodding blossom
The setting sun in my soul can finally rest
